"Our party of four held in this fantastic charming restaurant on our trip back from Florida on the way to Kentucky. We saw a sign on the highway and it said the Freight House was a top 8 restaurant in Alabama. I must say I was very happy and pleasantly surprised with the food, staff, decor, location and all the ordinary pictures and antiques throughout the restaurant. We loved the theme. Thank you for a great experience."

"This place is always so amazing and friendly I would recommend the pizza and cheese bread, the only reason why I didn't have a five-star is because I sadly found a bug in my salad and my fries of my fiancée was far too oily, moreover it was awesome"

"Our senior group from church went for lunch. We had 14 and called ahead, so we were sat in a separate room. Plenty of room for large parties. Everyone was very pleased with their food. They have lunch and senior specials. The salad bar was super fresh and clean. The salad bar is an extra charge and only one trip, but worth it to me. I like a good salad bar. I will definitely visit again."

"Beautiful small place right on the highway, easy access, super authentic looking with a very authentic taste. The service was excellent and the food was uncandy tasteful. I'm not a fan of fried beans, but they had a smooth and very woody taste. My duck was quite full of meat and very filling. In any case, this place recommends anyone who wants an authentic feeling."

"3 different meals come all with drinks told what drinks I wanted plus a large ice water. Only two drinks wanted to recharge me for the others. I told them to forget. I was always happy with the service, but tonight. Not so much. Ready with Sonic for awhile"

"Got take-out breakfast and asked for more jelly to go with the box of biscuits and the lady handing us the food said, “you get what you get”. Which is an absolute BIZARRE thing to say to someone. "We always had a great time here. The food is definitely cooked at home and it tastes better than anything you can get from any fast food or chain restaurant. The service is somewhat slower, but we come here to hang up specifically and look at all the amazing artefacts and memories they have so, we don't wait for our food because there is always something that triggers a conversation. Your reubens are here! I'm the stranger in my family, and I could eat corn and cabbage every day. It is hot, crispy butter bread, the right amount of herb and a thousand island. It's just delicious!!! Your strawberry bezel salad is also amazing! The owners are also super sweet. They moved from Chicago to take over the restaurant. We love this place! Also the fried pickles are the best appetizer choice ever... they are more like pickleries and they come with a spicy ranch."

"I eat here a LOT!! It is my local Subway store. The people are great and they work very efficiently. I really enjoy eating here. The only downside, as of this review, they do not sell breakfast sandwiches. They do not market or sell any option withegg. Outside of that, it is a great place to eat."
