"We showed up at 5:00 for dinner on a Wednesday without reservation. I called earlier and was told that reservations were not taken. While the restaurant was empty, the staff at the host station told me that it would fill out soon; but she was determined to find a place for our 6 party. We sat at a high table and accommodations were made to have safe places for our 2 children. I appreciated the service level so much. We could have just turned off, but the staff really accommodated us. We had a wonderful meal the food was delicious and served in a timely fashion. Our waiter was pleasant. Would highly recommend and would return. Much better experience than many restaurants on Jekyll!"

"After hearing good reviews, we decided to try this restaurant. It was a bit difficult to find, located in the back corner of the Jekyll Market near the Westin and the ocean. We were surprised to find that it was just a small kitchen with no indoor seating, but there were tables outside on the sidewalk. The food was hot and fresh, and we ordered a chicken sandwich (which was actually just 2 chicken tenders on a bun) and a fried shrimp basket with fries and coleslaw. Overall, it was a decent option for dining in the area."

"Very disappointed in this place. Stayed at the Westin and requested food to be ordered to go. They very rudely asked if I was staying at the hotel as though no one who isn?t staying here can even get to go food because they?re operating understaffed. Paid $78 for a meal, requested a medium rare steak and it barely came out pink. Also slapped a room service charge on my account even though I went down to pick up the food. WHAT?! The least you can do is bring it to me if you?re going to charge me a fee for room service. Mediocre food very mediocre service. Do your self a favor and go anywhere besides here if you plan to stay on Jekyll island. Disappointed and as a Marriott vacation club owner I am embarrassed that they have this restaurant under their name. Spend your money elsewhere"

"In town for an education conference and made reservations originally for 6 for dinner on a Monday night. Staff were very accommodating when we requested to change our party size to 10. Unfortunately, once we arrived, we were less than impressed. Our service was terrible. The restaurant was not busy yet we waited over 30 mins for appetizers and drinks to arrive after placing the order. Salads arrived at the same time the meals did, and it took nearly an hour after the delivery of the appetizers for our main courses to arrive. Someone in our party’s drink cup was cracked and leaking, and once we notified the server of the issue, instead of taking the leaking glass away, it was left on table to continue to make a mess. I am usually a fantastic tipper, but we were charged a mandatory 20% gratuity, which we all paid, but was definitely not reflective of the service we received. The food was great, but not worth the headache of dealing with such poor service. We are in the island every year for a conference but we will definitely NOT be back."

"Wow! What a wonderful experience! Even if we had to wait an hour and 20 minutes to take a seat, we met some nice people who recommended the rum for a drink. I got one and enjoyed it, which went about waiting a little faster. After we set ourselves, our orders were immediately accepted. I enjoyed the stuffed greens and absolutely loved the Squash-Casserole! Definitely you get the Squash-Casserole when you are there, you will not regret it. The fried green tomatoes were not bad either. My friend got the stuffed flounder with Mac n cheese and Okra and also enjoyed their food. Then the beautiful people we met earlier ended up picking up our tab (if you finally read so much again! We really appreciated it! and Guiedo the host was super friendly and gave us a breakfast recommendation for our stay here. We only had such a wonderful experience here with real southern hospitality! We'll be back when we're back in the area!"

"This place is great with a beautiful view of the beach. I tried to get my family during our last visit, but they didn't want to. We went this time, and they enjoyed the food and drinks so much that they are ready to go back as yesterday, and we were just 2 days ago. I told them how good their buffalo wings were. They tried them and loved them. My brother n law loved the chili cheese fries so much that he googled the next Tortuga Jacks, just to be disappointed that it was 3 hours away, on Jekyll. Needless to say, we are planning a day trip next weekend, and one of the reasons is Tortuga Jacks. My baby sister had the Fresh Mex Bowl. She enjoyed it, along with her mixed drink. I'm not a drinker, but for those who do, they sell alcoholic drinks and mixed drinks. The staff is super, very nice and friendly. If you have a dog, they welcome dogs. You have also placed dog bowls all over the outside to feed your did. How great is that? Go and enjoy the great outdoor, with a great view of Tortuga Jacks. They also have a live band from time to time. The place is very nice and clean."

"Have eaten in the main dining room three times in the last months. This time best service ever. Michael, the Grand Dining Room manager, quietly circulated to see that the guests were promptly served and that the waitstaff were attentive. Our server, Jennifer, was superb. She was on top of time and service. nowThere were plenty personnel to ensure refreshments were filled, rolls served and tables reset quickly. You are back at the top of your game"

"Dinner with my friend who stayed on the island, I stopped here after I had a nice ride around the island. We had great service, sitting outside and enjoying the sea breeze while we had dinner. Only a basket of boneless wings for me in hot sauce and with blue cheese. Nothing special, but they were served hot and the sauce had some to them. Beers were refreshed and we had a nice meal. While you have to pay $8 on the island as soon as you 're here there is a lot of parking. [Review 19342 total 580 in Georgia 312 of 2023."

"Great discovery on the island! Our first choice was closed for redesign, so we went to the next place on the list, that was Zachary Riverhouse. Our waitress Connor was super friendly and helpful. The fresh catch was flounder and we cooked a beautiful part perfectly. Outdoor seating made it very pleasant, and a nice selection of adult drinks also did not hurt. Friendly people, great food, great service! Very recommended!!"

"Probably one of the worst dining experiences that we have had. The service was extremely slow, our appetizer took minutes to get. We placed our order shortly after placing our order for our appetizer and after an hour and a half we finally decided to leave after asking twice for them to box our food up to go. We paid the bill and tipped the server but received none of our food outside of the appetizer. Extremely disappointing! To add insult to injury they did not comp any of our meal back after we paid the bill"

"I have read the mixed reviews and I am forced to share a phenomenal experience. At first I was there about half an hour before the rush and the service I received was remarkable. Both friendly and attentive from greeting to the bar tender to the waiter. I had a crab cake that was absolutely delicious, followed by a generous low country cook served in a pot with lots of everything, in any case could be divided from normal size people. I absorbed plentiful amounts of sweet tea, brought diligent every time my glass hit the .25 brand. Finally, I cleaned the palate with good old Georgian pancakes, which I can only call exalted. I wish I had room for a second disc. My visit was amazing. I will say that locals and visitors pour on the wharf as I went, and the restaurant had filled while I ate, so valuers pampered by empty Covid-Ara restaurants may say that their server now has to manage more than two tables, but the seafood and service were brilliant for me."

"Large hidden gem at the marina on Jekyll Island near the path bridge. Beautiful atmosphere with views of the marina, and a swimming pool and hot tub for mouses and marina owners. Food was all delicious, drinks were well made with good happy hour specials. I was also impressed by the amount of waiting staff, the speed of the kitchen and the friendliness of the bus drivers: I know retention is hard for restaurant owners, and the owners seem to do a good job here. My only complaint is the portion size of dinner is a little small, but that simply means more space for the delicious homemade desserts. We are recommended to visit the island every time."
