Original review: On the occasion of a trip to the beautiful Allgäu in spring 2012 we visited the Ristorante and Osteria Antica in the Landhotel Hirsch in Kempten several times. The hotel, where the very spacious Osteria is located, is located on the left side of the road, which leads from Kempten to Lenzfried already on the outskirts of Kempten. On various evaluation portals Osteria has experienced various reviews, but consistently mostly positive contributions. For my terms, I am a really good Italian who offers a variety of different Italian specialties and often organizes great events such as weddings, first communion, birthday parties and the like. It seems very extensive. It is therefore recommended to make a reservation in time. But also as an unloaded guest you are welcome and try to find somewhere in one of the guest rooms a place where you can still be accommodated. At least according to my experience, the service is not contested at all. The staff I and my wife found very helpful and competent during our numerous visits there. Even food recommendations have not disappointed us. Both all pasta dishes and meat dishes were first-class prepared and very tasty. There are also frequent daily meals depending on the season that are not listed on the regular menu. The Montepulciano D`Abruzzo, which we enjoyed for the dishes, also turned out to be one of the better qualities. Our result is definitely recommended. If we are in the region, we will certainly visit the Osteria Antica again. We cannot provide any information about the quality of the hotel. Addendum in December 2014: According to friends, the restaurant in Landhotel Hirsch is no longer operated with the name Osteria Antica, because the owner is to be deceased. Too bad."
