"Disappointing, my wife and I visit this restaurant twice a year when we stay in Kennebunkport it has always been good. But this time not so much. We visited on Saturday May 11th 2024 we had called and put our name in early so when we got there our table would be ready in a few minutes but they had no idea who we were and we ended up waiting 45 minutes. We got the upstairs which was nice. My wife ordered the Fish Called Wanda and I got the fried Full Belly clams. They came out really dark like the oil hadn't been changed I mentioned it to the waiter who just shrunk It Off my wife has been dealing with an upset stomach since she ate there on Saturday night not sure why the oil would be old when they just recently opened but like I said I heard other customers complaining about how dark everything was coming out as well disappointing for sure because we usually like to go here"

"Service was terrible. It took almost an hour to get salads. The salad was embarrassing to serve in a restaurant that is supposed to be high caliber or really any place outside a college intestine. It was a (possibly) glorified handful of iceberg salad with a few chickpeas and crumbs. Servers were unapologetic and poorly equipped to cope with the situation. In fact, our server just disappeared an hour and could not even check in on us or proactively apologize for the terrible service. Another employee did not even turn it on the table to refill water glasses when asked. After we had waited an hour for food (with young children) and politely asked for some bread, nobody could even deliver it. It took a second person who asked 20 minutes later that some bread was coming. The entries were decent, but overpriced. My scallops were perfectly boiled, but the dish was in a buerre blanc sauce, which essentially felt as if it were only drunk in butter; this has unfortunately overshadowed the seasonal veggies. Certainly not back. Save the trip."

"We spent over 400 dollars with our family for bfast with Santa and were rushed through our bfast. We got there at 11 am and had to ask for someone to bring drinks. No one directed us to go up to the buffet until we asked. Within 40 mins of sitting down noon time) staff was picking up the room around us and our bill was placed on the table without even being asked if we wanted more drinks. We expected to be there at least 2 hours and have our grandson decorate cookies which was not out). This is absolutely unacceptable treatment for a family of 8 who are spending that much money to spend time together for an experience and memories and I think there should be compensation. We were very disappointed."

"Overall, The Burleigh was not worth the money. The food was not terrific when compared to other places of similar price. We've been to many places where we spent less and had a much better time. The tables were wobblily, the live music was loud and not that good, and we were sat way too close to other tables. The only thing I'll say was good was the service. I think I had my water filled 5 times haha. Beyond that, I do not recommend this restaurant unless you like basil in your cocktails and overall lackluster taste."

"Very friendly server, Ally We went at 22:30 and it was not busy. They are currently renovating the lower part of the restaurant, so we ate above that had a beautiful view of the water and the lighthouse on Goat Island. Order: Clam Chowder $9 good portion, made me satisfied full, many shells not too creamy, loved that it didn't love a thick consistency Chowder Onion Strings $11 as it was thin it was so delicious that I didn't really get the bbq sauce it came with NO military discount"

"expects a little more on the basis of previous reviews, but everything in all was good. service was in order, presentation was nice, but eating itself could have been a bit better. had lobster risotto, risotto was good, lobster was chewy compared to others I had in the opposite. Crab cases were in order, but had better. blueberry cake was very good. enjoyed!"

"We loved it there . We were there Thursday Dec 7th and thought it would be crowded, we did make a reservation. This restaurant should be crowded. The service was great and the food was delicious. We had chicken with spaghetti squash and green beans with a delicious sauce. My partner loved the fish and chips with smashed peas. The lovely Christmas tree was an added touch for the holidays Sometimes in Kennebunkport, restaurants are overshadowed by the most popular . We have been to many but but so happy we went back . We were there last year as well."
