"the rösslwirt is located near or almost in the center of the market community lam, a picturesque place with about 3,000 inhabitants in the Bavarian Forest. the hotel is located on the main road and is therefore easy to find. the traffic noise didn't disturb us because our room went back. the staff was very friendly and accommodating. there is a family atmosphere. However, they wanted to have paid the bill on arrival. Drinks and others in the restaurant are paid immediately there and cannot be written on the bill. our room was obviously freshly renovated, it was very well maintained and clean, from the size of the hotel status and the price well suited; it had no balcony. the flat-screen TV was amazingly large – we experienced this in more expensive hotels. also the bathroom has noticed us especially positiw. in the hotel there is no elevator. the top floor is the second floor; You need to carry your luggage and then you need to go down the day of the day. This is not a big criticism, but only a hint as we already knew when booking. we had half board. the evening meal we had to show about half an hour, as the places in the very small restaurant room had to be occupied several times. in a breakfast buffet with a free choice of time between 8 and 10 a.m. it was a bit narrow. Food was good and rich. interesting at dinner was that you can choose from a card with quite many main dishes at short notice; in some orders with payment. However, this did not go to dessert: We could not choose from the normal card against the price something else; However, it was possible to take an orchard instead of the half board dessert and to order and pay the other in addition. the hotel has no own parking, but a larger public parking, located at the Panorama Park, is about 70 meters from the back entrance of the hotel. there we have always found a free space for our car. However, this parking is not asphalted, and therefore a little muggy with wet weather. Typical leisure activities in the vicinity are hiking, mountain biking and snowshoe hiking and cross-country skiing in winter. Skiing is on the arber and on the high arc. also the Bayerwald-Tierpark lohberg is not far, specifically 5 km. up to Arber, the highest mountain of the Bavarian Forest is about 18 km. On foot there is 1 km and by car approx. 2 km to the beautiful Osserbad, a indoor and outdoor pool with saunas."
