"Mar Vista Dockside is our new favorite waterfront dining experience in Sarasota. My family had a fantastic Sunday afternoon-early dinner to end the long Thanksgiving weekend. We really lucked out by getting one of the tables right at the waters edge. I got my seasonal Stone Crab fix, which were perfectly cracked, cold and delicious. My wife had the crab cakes, which dare I say were better than any of the Crab Cakes I’ve had on several trips to Baltimore. Lots of crab and very little filler. My son had the Tuna Poke Bowl which was equally outstanding. The atmosphere under the trees along the water was just what we had been craving! Great service, food and atmosphere. We can’t wait to dine here again!"

"The salads are expensive but very large so share one. I had the ravioli in a vodka sauce. It was very good but the portion was a bit small. My wife had a Mediterranean salad with grilled salmon on top. Usually they do a good job with the salmon but this time it was overcooked. To their credit, when we told them they took it off the bill. There are only a few tables inside so reservations are a good idea, even in the Summer when it is too hot to eat outside where they have lots of seating."

"My wife and I ate here three times during our stay in Sarasota. Every time the food was delicious... crab salad, Lazy lobster, lobster Mac and cheese, swordfish, Mahi, shrimp... and the wine was also good. The Tiramisu and the cheesecake should die after my wife. The waiting staff was also great. Competent and friendly. This will definitely be a goal for us in future visits."

"Not much to say. Yummy. The last three times I was here was with some friends We spend our evening up and share little bites. Then we have enough space for Dessert. We order another one and hand them around. I have a perfectly brewed French press coffee (rotated with a special request from whipped cream). The desserts are very cheap and our rich and amazing. The piano player in the lounge was very entertaining and exceptionally good on Monday evening. I guess I had a lot to say...."

"Okay, Bacon Ice Cream swim in Squash Soup. Yes, after homemade French baguettes with butter like no other. Next, caviar on flat rounds of bread????? When did you leave the sky sauce? The soft delicate short ribs with droplets of maish potato. They invited us to get a cured cream green machine that was rude. The service was impeccable. Dessert and choice of wine...fantastic. This is a hidden spit on the Gulf of Mexico Drive. The food is best comparable to NYC and Phillys. Thank God we found it. Not many, if at all, like these in Longboat Key. Come on!"

"Beautiful view and the food was delicious. But I made a note in our reservation that we were celebrating a birthday. I also mentioned it to the hostess and waitress. I chose this restaurant thinking it’d be a great place for a celebration, but there was zero acknowledgment or effort from the staff and nothing special done at all. "We live in central Florida, and after booking a sunset cruise out of siesta key for July 9th, we searched the area for a nice restaurant for our 11 year anniversary, we decided upon making a same day reservation for 4:45pm at The Chart House! It was PERFECT!!!! We got there a little early, but, was seated immediately. We had a spectacular water view! Our server was Herman and he was very friendly, professional and perfectly attentive. For a starter, we had the shrimp, avocado mango stack. Very beautiful and delicious! Our salads were good and fresh. My husband had the miso maple glazed salmon, which melted in your mouth! I had the Hawaiian NY strip medallions and it was amazing! For dessert, he had the chocolate lava cake (best we 'd ever had) and I the crème brullee, which was perfect!! Oh!! And my husband noticed that our menus read The Chart House wishes The Bolingers a Happy 11th Anniversary! We cannot express enough how wonderful our overall experience was!! I could tell the were getting super busy by the time we were leaving, and reservations are recommended. We just might make this our anniversary restaurant every year!"

"We had dinner for 2 at Euphemism Haye. We started with the mushroom soup (tonight's special my spouse called it heavenly), the pate (fabulous) and the shrimp appetizer (pretty good). We had the pistachio snapper (absolutely super) and the duck (very yummy). Added the delicious cauliflower mash to the meal. We then moved upstairs for dessert and had the berries with whipped cream and the pistachio cheesecake very very good. Not inexpensive at all but prices were appropriate. Staff was knowledgable and friendly. Unsure how some posted pictures show the water from the restaurant."

"4.5 actually. Came in for a late lunch and surprised to see a fresh update on the decor. The old Cafe on the Bay mural was gone. A fresh look gave it a pleasant beach vibe. Greeted and seated. Well designed lunch menu with something for everyone. We chose; crab cake salad, lobster quiche Loraine and Key West fried shrimp. We all agreed excellent preparation, presentation and delicious. A lot of food at a very reasonable price. Lazy Lobster had been a fall back but the last two visits have been top notch. Added to our regular dining rotation."

"The ambiance was great. Chicken sandwich was just a basic chicken sandwich, would have been great if the chicken was not so tough. It was overcooked. The steak sandwich was just ok, and we asked for extra sauce which made it taste slightly better. Thesteak was ordered medium but came out well-done The worst part was the service. We waited and waited for our server to refillour water and request the sauce. After about 30 mins another table behind us was chasing after the waiter as well because he wasnot giving them their check. We finally just went to the bar to ask for water and get the sauce which we got right away. Ourwaiter was working very hard I never saw him stop once, I actually felt bad for him, perhaps there needs to be extra staff to beable to handle larger crowds. On the bright side, the crab cake was absolutely delicious and the only thing we enjoyed"

"The restaurant did not use gloves while preparing food, and it seemed like they could not even cook simple eggs properly (they were overcooked). They also did not inform customers that there were no free refills on the $4 small cup of orange juice. Additionally, they messed up my order and served one of my sides as a full meal. "I would just like thank Harry’s for an amazing 61st birthday celebration! The atmosphere was quaint, elegant, sophisticated, and I really enjoyed the local art on the walls. Our server, Kristy was extremely attentive and pleasant and was always there when we needed her. She also expertly guided us through their top quality and extensive wine list. The food was excellent, beginning with the fresh baked French bread with roasted garlic. Our table also shared the bruschetta and conch fritters that were delicious. We also ordered the wedge salad with the candied bacon and creamy blue cheese dressing, which really set it apart from other wedge salads I’ve had! Our entrees of Gorgonzola Filet Mignon with a truffle Demi Glaze was cooked to perfection!!! And finally, we finished our night off with graham cracker crust coconut cream pie, banana cream pie, and a Harry’s warm brownie with ice cream and hot fudge. It really ended up being one of the best dinners we’ve had in a very long time. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you haven’t already. "We tried to eat in this restaurant tonight after we looked into the hotel. We started sitting at a table and immediately serving the table next to our salads. I said, uh, I don't think these are ours when the waiter who broke the food ignored my words. We gave them to the table next to us and laughed at the mistake. Then we waited and waited. At last our waiter appeared and hurried some water. Then never again. We finally flew a waiter and he accidentally took our order. Then we waited and waited.. and waited again. Nothing. No drinks. No food. So I finally come out of my chair to find the waiter to tell him if our food was brought into the kitchen (which I doubt) to simply end and quit. He was super rude for me and my family. I ask the manager who was super rude and 100% unapologetic at the time. If this was a real luxury facility, would they have offered to send at least our food up into our room? This is our first night in the hotel and instead of starting my holiday with a nice meal, do we eat porridges from the snack room below? Make yourself a favor and skip the disappointment of this place"

"Please reserve before arrival. We were lucky someone canceled. Our waiting time was 5 minutes. The location was so romantic and perfect, a table for 6 on the water. The cocktails were unique and delicious. Our appetizers are the dreams. First the Prince Edward Islands Mussels $18 the pairing of citrus butter sauce, onion tomatoes are explosive. Then the Bacon Wrapped Scallops for $22, it was crispy sea scallops bacon with maple syrup and deep fritted for about 3 minutes perfect. So, it was the first day of the season of stone crabs, so we ordered 6lbs of stone crab. The cook's qualities were put on the test you passed with flying aromas A!
