"I recently dined at Salt with some friends from California who had not been there in a while. Unfortunately, we were all disappointed with our experience. The view of the marina was beautiful, but the restaurant itself was terrible. The food, drinks, and service were all subpar and not worth the money. I would recommend finding another place to eat."

"The food was excellent, the seating was unusual since we sat down low sort of on the floor and then under the table. I definitely liked it it was different, Japanese style. Again the food was exceptional all four of us enjoyed all the various sushi rolls and dishes that we had. I highly recommend this place for others."

"I would give them all stars in the world! It's probably one of the most authentic Japanese place there's. Starting from the entrance, you're greeted like an old friend in Japanese, which by itself is such a nice thing. We didn't make a reservation but were seated at the bar and got to see the process of sushi making(fascinating as well). I got the special roll and black cod; both were to die for!Overall, it's an amazing place where you will experience the Japanese hospitality and delicious food!"

"Firestone is my hubby’s fav beer so while traveling we made sure to fit in a visit. Our hostess, Gabby, was extremely friendly and attentive. Wheelchair accessible with lots of wide open spaces. I love the rustic brewing decor. Beers are fabulous. Food is tasty and fresh. Highly recommend the SOB salad (south of the border). Amenities were ample and clean."

"My family has been coming here for many years. It's our fave place. The food is beyond good portions are Huge feed me twice over. My FIL is ordering pick up as I type. The prices may seem a little high to some but for Santa Monica, CA, these prices are low end and also, as I said, big portions. Food this good here by the ocean is usually 2 or 3 times this price. The bread garlic are too good to resist. I would eat that 2 Tiramisus for dinner then take home my meal for later when I was pregnant. The staff is the nicest too. The only less than perfect aspect is the seating area is incredibly small so try a less busy time if you don't like waiting or pick it up for home."

"Great Italian restaurant, I miss the one in Venice, but this location in the marina was also beautiful. On a rainy day, we arrived a little early, what I understood they opened at 5:00? I thought they were a whole day. The service was good that we tried a few dishes and drinks, had no complaints about it. A star for the parking situation. When we were there early, I saw they had a parking lot. There was nothing Valet Service or a price for the parking lot mentioned. So we parked. When we went into our car, this old guy comes up and said it's $8 and I was confused when nobody mentions that no one parked my car and I just spent over $100 on a meal. They insisted that we still had to pay the price I thought was ridiculous. If you better sign or actually have your employees outside their workplace:"

"had the sob and fried chicken sandwich. sob was good, but a little dry. beautiful karamellized tweezers and a thousand island. the crispy chicken sandwich was unfortunately burned, but the brot was good. they have an excellent selection of beer on hahn for a burger compound and good interior with tvs. if not for the burned chicken sandwich I would rate it higher."

"Visited our daughter out here in Marina Del Ray and she recommended this location for sushi. We may be spoiled by our local Asian Restaurants in CT and NY. We felt the portions were kinda small and the prices were kinda high for what your getting. For example $13.50 for a California roll without real crab meat back home is 1/2 the cost and bigger slices.The sushi itself was good. The take out process was seamless. Parking in lot was too tight for a minivan."

"Best Italian I have had in a long time. Pasta Raggu was recommended and I can see why. Pasta is made in Italy, shipped daily and you can taste the difference. Located in one of the newer shopping centers. Don't forget to validate, I forgot and had to pay $27 for parking for less than 2 hours. Food is very reasonably priced for lunch. We also had roasted broccoli which was absolutely delicious, lightly seasoned and cooked too perfection .Service was great, attentive without too many interruptions, very friendly. Entrance is on marina side, beautiful views. Restaurant is on the smaller side but efficient. We had a leisurely lunch, didn't feel rushed, perfect weather. Highly recommend!!"

"Seated immediately. Decor is old but that’s vibe. Service was excellent. Oysters were very fresh. Cesar salad was light and not over dressed or overloaded with cheese. We had ribs and halibut and both were seasoned and cooked well. The side broccoli was fresh and crunchy. The food portion was generous. The price of the food and drinks are very reasonable unlike many of the restaurants in the area. Overall great experience and would recommend it and go back again."
