"my 3 sisters and I threw a baby shower for my sister here on 4/28. from beginning to end, the whole party was a big success. the help. gen. manager virginia was very accommodating and fast to answer emails through the planning process. at the arrival we were greeted by our waiting staff, henry, taylor and jason, who were very eager to help us move the way we needed them. they offered us coffee and tee while we decorate what was a small but appreciated gesture. taylor helped me enormously with everything I needed (including the decorating consultation). henry was amazing – I think there are 3 of him who hide when he was always in my eyes and was ready to get everything needed by our guests and a beautiful home town surprise was jason. my family knows him and his family personally from the time he was born, and he was great and only a whole big guy! Almost 15 years in the service industry, I can tell them they are a dream team. they were all so hesitant and helpful that they earned the extra tip of my sisters and I at the end of the party. the private space separated by large partitions was more than sufficient and we had a lot of space between tables to spread out. (the opposite between our room and the bathroom was the ultimate child-friendly hangout, thank god)! the food was excellent – French thorn soup, caesar salat, penne wodka, grilled tilapia parmesan cracked chicken breast. the portions were shockingly large and most of our guests had doggy bags (also for their salads), which were very rare for a party of this size. there was a bar in our antidote that we didn't even have to use because the staff coughs to get drinks for the guests so they didn't even have to leave their seats. we originally had about 85 on the list and 65 on the actual party. we did not have to guarantee a minimum, that was great, because 85 people generally tend to be very expensive. oh and virginia threw free in table linen, which was very friendly! I recommend this restaurant for a private party or special event, even only one night to dinner, as the restaurant itself has a great atmosphere."
