"Today we were at the Café am Beethovenplatz for lunch. The central location in the University Hospital between the Goetheplatz and the Main Station is ideal for those who work in Munich. The restaurant offers a large and shaded outdoor area at summer temperatures. Art Nouveau interior is also used for musical performances. You don't usually have to make a reservation, but even the outdoor area was so full this afternoon that we found a free table with luck. The lunch card is clear, but still has a sufficiently varied design. We once had summer salads in Balsamicomarinade with sheep cheese, olives and pear rings (6.90€ and once pork carving Wiener Kunst with potato cucumber salad and lemon carving (6.90€). The main dish was a small bread basket with four mini rolls (herbals, fresh and very tasty. Other highlights from the current noon menu: Chicken bouillon with pancake strips, Allgäuer Spätzle with roasted onions and salad set, cold roasts with horse and roasted potatoes or Stracciatella mousse on forest berry ragout . The food was quickly brought by a friendly service. I find the price-quality ratio of the lunch card absolutely good. The prices in the menu are partly significantly higher. Breakfast is also excellent here. I want to take a star out because the food itself was good, but not overwhelming. But I can definitely make a recommendation for the café at Beethovenplatz."
