"The chance came to the outskirts of Neu-Isenburg and in one of the commercial Schrebergartens I found the Sonnenhof. From the outside he seemed rather unspectacular, a small bungalow next to a mighty chestnut. In the outdoor area there was a beer garden that seemed somewhat sculpted: beer table fittings, individual plastic chairs and tables, parasols, garden pavilions and a cow as well as other figures. The small interior with bar and about 30-40 seats has a very cheerful effect on the first impression, but even if the ambience consists of many colors, statuettes, wall suspensions, table decorations, figures and pictures, it works harmoniously even if it is overloaded overall. On the female sex, it could seem quite unpleasant. My aesthetic feeling is certainly not about any doubt, so I focus on food: The map was very compact and petty-bourgeois, but also favorable in summer. I chose a steak and the salad buffet. The buffet itself seemed quite modest, but was basically okay. The steak itself was very good, like the crimped roast potatoes. The service was very friendly but needed a little longer, as the premises were well visited. Actually, everything was fine, just not so good that I would have to come back immediately or in the near time. For lazy summer evenings, but certainly worth a visit, and be it just for drinking."
