"This year's birthday celebration took place in Zeus through the 5-star reviews in some portals. Despite the beginning of Tuesday, the restaurant was well visited at 19:30. There were a few tables left. We were looking for a look at the garden and the police office. In that we had to do more often than customers or clients of friends and helpers. In this respect, we came into a nostalgic mood. The drinks were ordered quickly: crumbles and duck stone from the barrel, and Ouzo from the house. A good start... Care for our slim line, we then only ordered something for the little hunger: the appetizer Scampis herbs with Metaxasauce € 11,90 , the Socrates cellar with Gyros and liver € 12,90 and Calamaris from the grill € 13,50 . What do you say? 4 Scampis of medium size approx. 4 cm swung lonely in a sauce that had only seen the metaxa bottle from the outside. The Gyros lacked Zaziki, which then had to be ordered separately, which showed up on the invoice with € 3.70! but was never reserved. The Calamaris strips, no tubes or rings were served on a cold plate, so they quickly took the plate temperature. Salt and pepper were missing at the table. Must also be reordered. The bill also had to be reminded of the correct sum without Zaziki. Repair attempts of the restaurant Another Ouzo? we then interpreted as a sign of walking. All in all, a normal Greek. "eating here is not authentic at all. samosas was in order, but was just as threatened as it was in the middle a bit cold. naan brot seemed like it was bought and not homemade. the curry had no authentic taste at all....It tasted like it was made of a glass and was too salty. they don't take a credit card so I had luck having cash. Overall, eating was bad. I'm from Britain so we get very good curries there."

"Wir kommen seit Jahren immer wieder nach Oldenburg und jedes Mal, wenn wir am "Ali Baba" vorbei gefahren sind, haben wir gesagt, da müssen wir einmal hin. Dieses Mal haben wir es getan - und es war klasse. Schlicht und einfach klasse. Das Ambiente stimmt, Plätze gibt es im Lokal und auch auf der kleinen Terrasse davor. Der Service ist aufmerksam, schnell und sehr freundlich. Und das Essen ist einfach gut! Ich bin jetzt nicht die große Fleischesserin und gerade mit Döner habe ich bislang kaum gute Erfahrungen gemacht. Aber das Dönerfleisch im Ali Baba ist richtig leckeres mageres Rindfleisch, kein Knorpel oder ähnlich Unappetitliches, einfach nur lecker und mager. Vorher gab's Hummus - ebenfalls sehr lecker - und Schafskäseröllchen im Yufkateig. Die waren frisch und ebenfalls total lecker. Und obwohl wir schon ziemlich satt waren: Für die Kugel Eis mit verschiedenen Saucentupfern, die vom Haus spendiert wurde, war durchaus noch Platz. Da wir dieses Mal länger hier sind, haben wir für die nächste Woche gleich wieder einen Tisch reserviert. Ist auch notwendig, der Andrang ist groß. Und was immer ein Zeichen für Qualität ist: Es gibt unglaublich viele Stammgäste in diesem Lokal."

"this restaurant has a series of separate seats, most of which are very attractive. the room where we were was taking off and was a bit boring, but then we booked in the last minute. we started with the thunfish two away. (as sashimi and a slightly fried filet) that had thunfish of highest quality, then I had a selection of fish, served with kartoffel and spinat. competently prepared, but a bit lacking in the imagination. the wine list is extensive. service was good. we paid 150 euro for two courses, a bottle of wine and two aperitifs. that is useful for a quality restaurant. I'm sure I'm going back when I'm in oldenburg, but I'm gonna book my table a little earlier."

"After 3 month absence this visit underlines my first experience of the most delicious food and best service you can get. Dinner was served in the summer garden and we had Zatziki and Ezme (spicy red pepper salad -rather a chutney) with bred to warm up the stomach.Mains were pork medaillons with Croquettes and a delicious peppercorn sauce. Another dish was lamb in a tomato sauce and wild rice. The grillplate with chicken skewer, koefte and kebap served with roasted potatoes (on special request) was skillfully seasoned. The staff was paying attention to the detail in every aspect and is very friendly. Be prepared for some "free" Raki to start your dinner and to finish with.The fact that a "beer garden" is offered for dinner in summer makes this place even more a whorthwhile visit. Can I recommend to go there? Big YES."

"seit ca. Juni wird der neue Kellner eingearbeitet, vor 14 Tagen hatte er die Allein-Regie und: nichts klappte! Bis die Speisekarte gebracht wurde: 20 Min., bis wir die Tafel sehen konnten: weitere 20 Min. bis er dann kam um die Bestellung aufzunehmen: weitere 15 Min. (dabei wieder ein fauler Witz, dass es kein Rumpsteak mehr gäbe, die wären fürs Personalessen reserviert! Nach 20 Min. die Entwarnung: ja, könnten wir haben). Nach ewiger Zeit kamen die Getränke, nach 1,5 Std. immerhin das Essen, Rumpsteak nicht wie gewünscht (englisch) und mit falscher Beilage. Das Besteck bekamen wir 10 Min. nach dem Essen!!! Ein Nachbestellen von Getränken war gar nicht möglich...Meiner Meinung nach ruiniert dieses Personal den Gesamteindruck des Restaurants, die Qualität der Speisen und der Weine ist immer noch vortrefflich, aber wir werden dort nicht mehr hingehen (uns ärgern!), schade, schade!!Der vorige Kellner war zwar eher konservativ, aber er beherrschte sein Metier und war stets freundlich und zuvorkommend, ohne diese miese Witzigkeit. Der neue sollte lieber wieder in den Schwan gehen, da kann er weiniger kaputt machen!So schade!"
