"My husband used his comp dollars from playing poker to bring us home breakfast as a treat. We tried a raspberry danish, cheese danish, and pain super chocolat. While the pastries for us were free, the prices were high at $6 each. Portion sizes were big and all pastries were delicious. Our favorite was the raspberry danish, which had fresh raspberries and just the right amount of custardy filling. The cheese danish had the best pastry dough (very flaky), but the filling was underwhelming (not the classic cheese danish filling and in clumps instead of distributed evenly). The pain au chocolat was huge, but needed more chocolate filling for the size. We agreed that Wegmans chocolate croissant is better bc of the ratio of chocolate to croissant. We 'll likely return for the occasional treat using rewards dollars, especially when craving danish, since good ones are hard to find in the DMV!"
