"Cafe Mambo was a fun find. Classic dishes with an island twist. My son loved his Mambo burger. My husband and I had the fajitas (tuna and local fish). The tuna was so good it was tough to want to put toppings on it. All in all it was a great value and excellent food. One note Pa'ia feels a little darker and less safe in the evening then other locations on Maui. When we go again, I will try to park closer to the center of town in well lit areas."

"stopped here because it was the only place opened around 7 o'clock when we started our trek on the road to hana. I was super satisfied with the coffee and the breakfast sandwich! my man got gelato to the breakfast and he loved it! I'm so glad we found this place. they will also make a picnic dinner for their journey. I wish I knew I would have done it myself."

"I went here with my family who has no dietary resurrections. As a vegan I was expecting a good sounding strawberry vanilla salad and my waitress was VERY knowledgeable about all menu items with/without animal products. She knew off menu items that were vegan and I ended up with an amazing yellow and green vegan curry. It had a wonderful flavorful base with lots of veggies and tofu and coconut rice. I finished the entire dish and it was amazing. It was about $36 so it was definitely pricey but if you’re going here for a meal everything else was over $50."

"While in Paia, we stopped here because there was a vegan flatbread option on the menu, and by this point was so over having the beyond burger be my only option besides side salads. Our waitress was vegan herself and let me know that they do very simple substitutions on any flat bread and 2 of her faves were non vegan menu options with some tweaks. I went for the pesto pizza without cheese and it was amazing. YEAH, vegan pesto. Their main salad is vegan, as is their dressing and bbq sauce. I highly recommend a stop here!"

"A melting pot of French, Indian and Mediterranean cuisines with Hawaiian inspirations infused to their fusion items. Unique and delicious food (curry wraps and crepes), great ambience, average portions and decent prices. They also have a nice cocktail and beer selection. We went as a large group and our favorites were the The vegan , butternut squash and coconut curry and the shrimp curry. The mai tai was also good."

"Stand up ordering, no reservations. Food tasted excellent. I had the Fish Tacos and the wife had the Fish Basket. We enjoyed both. Self serve soda fountain. They have lots to choose from including a Market Price menu. We spent about $40 for 2 of us. Left stuffed."

"Fish—perfectly cooked—had the Ono(huge piece) sautéed with butter, white wine and garlic—sooo good Clam chowder—amazing, one of the best I’ve had—lots of clams and not much else(not like those chowders with loads of potato and few clams) Sashimi—generous portions of Ahi and good wasabi Seafood linguini—huge portion with lots of large pieces of seafood. All served at excellent prices. Very casual, limited seating. But will be back!"

"We often drove from this restaurant and always thought that it looked funny, it's just a block from the beach and has a dog-friendly outdoor terrace. We always assumed it was 't vegan friendly until the other day we noticed a painted wooden shield on the deck that vegan said. The options were simple, but the food was super hearty, delicious and tasteful. My husband and I shared the vegan Fajitas and it was enough for two. Definitely would come back for a Mexican operation on the north coast."

"What a fantastic place to stop. Owned by Willie Nelson and has some of his memorabilia hanging on the walls along with some cool paintings of him and other celebrities who have visited. I chose the banana bread French Toast with coconut syrup. Ok. Can we talk?! Lol. That has to be the best French Toast I have ever had. This is a must stop place before heading on the road to Hana."

"If I could give them 5 stars I would! We went to Paia Bay Coffee more times than I can count… I ordered the vegan bagel every time and the iced Vegan Carmel Coconut Mac Nut Latte. It was incredible every single time and it never got old. I could eat there every day of my life. The atmosphere is super cozy too. It’s indoor/outdoor in a garden."

"Saturdays are for dim sum!!! The crispy pork was my favorite I'm still drooling over that perfectly crisp pork skin. And the meat itself is juicy not dry like some traditional Chinese BBQ places. We also got the lo mai fan, veggie chow fun, and bok choy all great accompaniments to the pork. And get a side of shrimp toasts, you won't regret it. Sadly, i found that their actual dumplings were thick and starchy/chewy : they were passed for me but I did appreciate that Only Ono BBQ had the only dim sum I could find in the island. Would definitely recommend for the other items grab a BUNCH of food and picnic on one of the beautiful and quiet beaches in Paia!"

"Highly recommend as a stop here any time of day, but for sure as a fuel up before hitting the Road to Hana. We got here at like 8am (april 2021), and the town was super quiet. Randomly picked here to get coffee for the road, and a bagel and lox. This was so randomly prob the best bagel and lox I’ve had outside of New York?? Good everything bagel, and lots of lox and fixings. It was only like $8! Couldn’t believe it. Good iced coffee too, and friendly cashier. Very easy, right on road and lots of street parking!"

"This is one of my favorite relaxed lunch spots. All orders are cooked to order and it’s so hot and fresh that you’ll have to wait for it to cool to eat it. The vegetables are the freshest around and there are REAL SKILLS in that kitchen. Be sure you have time to sit down and enjoy the atmosphere, surrounded by open air and giant trees, it’s a quiet hang out that allows for plenty time to meet people and peruse the fresh produce to purchase. My go to order is the red curry, the spicy fried rice and Thai tea. I’ve tried most dishes and would recommend all of it. The owner and her team are so pleasant and helpful. "Love the take-out food bar inside Mana Foods! A little pricey like everything else on Maui, but a little treat for this local girl once in awhile is well deserved! I had the chicken soup; with fresh chicken, yummy broth, and veggies. I also ordered a side of jasmine rice and mixed it together with the soup. I am still thinking about it! Then I drove to the back side of Kanaha, and watched the waves roll in! I love Maui!"

"My wife and I went to our anniversary. Was it a bad experience? Not really. Would I recommend it? No way. The food was not good and the entertainment was usually moderate. Nevertheless, they calculate the same price as the good, top animal Luaus. If they cut the price in half, it could be worth it (maybe). They were courteous and friendly, which was the only really positive part of the experience."
