"My family and i are visiting from new york to bring our kids to hershey park. We arrived into pa at 9:30 so obviously the options to dine at are very limited. Upon searching yelp i found babe 's grill. At this point i didn 't even read the reviews. I was just looking for a place that was still open and serving. Boy am i glad i found this place. We came in with very low expectations because if i 'm being honest we 're from new york. And as new yorkers we are definitely spoiled because we don 't need to leave our city for good food. Now when i say i had an excellent meal here, i mean it. And i don 't use the term loosely. Not only was the service on point. She was quick, attentive and not overbearing. Just great. Now for the food. I don 't think there was one thing we didn 't enjoy. We order pierogis, smoked wings with doom sauce, meat and cheese board, a pick two entree of brisket salmon, monkfish, and some boneless wings for my daughter. Along with 2 desserts to finish the meal. Meat and cheese board-delicious meats and cheeses. I would however would have wanted or waitress to tell us which cheeses were what. Also i would have preferred toast points instead of pita. But that is just my preference. The smoked sausage on that plate was delicious. I also would have preferred a regular mustard. Again just my preference. Pierogi 's- were delicious. Well balanced in potato to meat ratio and well seasoned. However i personally would not call them pierogis. They are more like empanadas to me. So that threw me off when it was brought to the table. Also another preference is i would have preferred the sauce on the side. I 'm not a huge fan of horseradish like that. However their horseradish sauce was mild so it was good. Wings- this was my overall favorite. And who would think wings would be the most outstanding thing? I mean it 's just wings. I ordered the doom sauce which is a 10 in terms of spice level. The doom sauce itself was spicy however a little too vinegary for me. But if i 'm being honest the smoke that they got on those wings were so good. It didn 't even need sauce and i 'm a condiment person! It reminded me of a smoked turkey leg at disney world! Highly recommend. Brisket salmon- the brisket i would say was my least favorite item. The brisket itself was not as tender and moist as i think it should be. However I 'm sure it was smoked a while before we got there. And the salmon was cooked properly. Fish chips- i did expect a crunchier texture for the batter however it still worked. The fish itself was tasty and generally if i order fish and chips i always have to salt the fish. I asked the waitress for my fries to be truffled and they did it for an extra charge. It was worth the charge. I personally don 't like skin on thick cut fries but these fries were delicious. They also give you a ton of bacon chips. But the star was their in house cherry pepper aioli. So good! The cole slaw that accompanied the fish was also delicious and creamy. And not wilted cabbage. Monkfish- the monkfish was cooked to perfection. The fish itself needed a little more salt but that 's okay cause i can always add it myself. I do eat salty in general. But the star of the dish was the yukon gold mashed potatoes. So good! And i don 't like skinned on potatoes. The desserts were good but nothing to rave about. Overall a great meal, great service and nice ambiance and decor. We will definitely be returning! Side note. We met the owner dave and he was very hospitable. He definitely has a good thing going. Keep up the good job!"

"El Nopal is a Tex-Mex restaurant located next to the truck stop in Palmyra on Hwy 24. In a nut shell: great service, friendly staff, and an extensive menu, all in one of the cutest over-the-top Mexican decors we have ever seen. The interior was so colorful and unique that it is almost tongue in cheek, but we enjoyed it anyway. El Nopal is a family restaurant with a full service bar, so you know they will have the usual menu of margaritas, tacos, enchiladas, burritos and fajita dinners, and they do all of them well. They aren't over the top on spicy, nor on heat, so almost everyone can enjoy their fare. The chips were crispy (though not warmed), and the salsa had good flavor, although it could have used more cilantro. We also added a touch of hot sauce to kick it up just a bit. We ordered queso, and were surprised that we got a bowl of a runny processed white cheese sauce that was served at room temperature! We won't order that again! We expected the traditional melted nacho cheese dip, and so, should have asked more before ordering the queso. Their menu is very extensive, and based on other reviewer's comments, everything is consistently tasty. The food we were served was delicious, fresh, and well prepared. Portions were large, and prices are reasonable. We arrived a few minutes before noon, and the restaurant started filling up just a few minutes later. Still, the service was quick and the staff was friendly. We saw several chili rellenos plates go out, so may have to try that next time! Thumbs up for El Nopal!"

"Hmmm where to start? This place was a sports bar/restaurant type place that smelled of stale beer. It has potential...It was fairly nice. The food was very tasty but very expensive for what you got. Normally I would give it a four star just because of the smell and me having to wipe the crumbs off of my seat before sitting down. I always run off the premise that if they can't take care of basic cleaning where customers can see like tables and restrooms, what happens in the kitchen!?? Anyway I dinged them an extra star because of them not being sufficiently accommodative to people with food restrictions. I'm a brittle diabetic that doesn't respond to medications and cannot eat sugar or carbs and have to eat a very low carb diet. Even if it was a personal weight loss diet like keto/carnivore choice, it shouldn't matter. A good restaurant will allow me to just order hamburger patties, eggs or bacon a' la carte. Here they insisted on me ordering the hamburger meal and wanted to charge over $6 for an extra patty. I would've ordered two patties even at that price if i could have. I went ahead and ordered just the bacon cheeseburger without the bun and at least let me substitute the fries for a few asparagus. The meal came and I didn't get any bacon on my bacon cheeseburger. The patty was good but nowhere near a $6 patty. We also ordered garlic parmesan wings. They were very good and premium size wings. The sauce was delicious but I'm afraid suspiciously sweet. So in a nut shell. Overpriced, underwhelmed, and left hungry with over a $65 bill for two people (not including tips or any alcoholic drinks). I would suggest to management that they take a look at their operation and tighten up on disinfecting and bussing protocols, as well as, taking a look at offering some low carb meals or a' la carte menu choices that would help the over 50% of the us population who have diabetes, pre-diabetes and other Metabolic health issues. This is OVER half of your customer base! We shouldn't have to pay for buns, bread, fries etc when we aren't eating them. You aren't losing any money AND might actually get repeat business if you treat your patrons honestly. Yes I know loading up your food with sugar makes it taste wonderful and bulked up meals with cheap carbs helps your bottom line, But people are starting to wisen up and that old shtick is fading away. You can either be a leader or another empty for-lease building in a few years!"
