"Ordered online. Food promised at a certain time. I got there on time and waited another 30 minutes for my order. Staff were all over the place and made no effort to get my order fixed. I think it was missed or something. Finally some lady, manager I’m guessing, came in like a tornado. Eventually got my order and one guy did apologize but I was late back to work at that point. Contacted their customer service to avoid this happening again and offer some constructive feedback but they didn’t even reach back out.Food is decent but can’t afford to order from here to get picked up on a lunch break ever again. Disappointed since this seemed like a healthier option to most restaurants. I’ll keep looking I guess….."

"We’ve been coming here for years and I think last night will be the last time. The bread had been sitting and was stale (the bread basket is my wife’s favorite part), the oysters weren’t fresh and glass was shattered on one of the hamachi shots. (Things happen and we didn’t really care but attention to detail is lacking) The staff is great but the restaurant was dead and the quality has gone down. The Japanese wagyu steak was great. The scallops were good. The stone crab salad was ok. The cotton candy was great. We really liked Alexander’s but we don’t think it’s going to stay open much longer the way it’s going."

"My boss searched the internet for about 5 minutes and made a reservation. The atmosphere inside the store is so nice! ! The grilled scallops were so good that I wanted to order another dish, but I was worried that I wouldn't be able to finish the main steak, so I decided against it! ! "This Pasadena classic never disappoints! The drinks are strong, the ambience is cozy and California cool! You can imagine that Clark or Marilyn or Liz walk and make their way to a corner stand! The outside seat reminds you that beautiful Pasadena is the perfect place to be in January or June! My favorite is the chicken pancake. While there are incredible fish and steak dishes, this chicken pancake is something that meets home and feels so good! Haha! If you feel like ordering the cornea. There is a grandmother somewhere in Georgia that lost her prescription... and it was found at Smitty! It is perfect for a Tuesday night, a data night or a family meeting! Enjoy this special place! "After a 4.5 mile hike my friend and I headed over to this amazing restaurant to satisfy our starving bellies! Service: 10/10 They were very busy but greeted us quickly and sat us right away (thankfully there was a few places to sit still). Our server was attentive and our food came in a timely manner. It's always great when you get your appetizers in time to enjoy before the main dish came out. Food: 10/10 Please forgive me but I was so hungry I took pics a bit late and dug in first Spicy tuna on crunchy rice and the gyoza was just perfect! The frozen beer was definitely a treat but I enjoyed it more once the slushee beer on top melted. I ordered the dragon roll and even though the eel was the fishest eel I've ever had, I enjoyed it immensely! I ordered with crunchy topping and it was provided on the side. My friend ordered the spicy miso and was surprised he could order non-spicy (which we laughed about) and could pick mild/medium/very spicy! So nice that they appeal to everyone's ability of how they handle spice. Ambience: 10/10 Not a ton of seating but enough to take care of a medium rush. Covered outside seating and inside seating available. Darker decor and gave a nice appeal, great for late night dates. I loved everything about this place and will definitely be back. I recommend to anyone that needs that Japanese cravings taken care of!"

"Breakfast Burrito and I can't remember the name of this plate, but it was Yucatan. We are so glad to finally make it to Yahaira as every time we pass, they are closed (they have reduced hrs now . We have brunch and it was a perfect choice! The dish I had got crispy maize tortilla on the bottom, sunny side up egg, then slices of ham on top, crushed into amazingly delicious tomato sauce. It was something I haven't seen yet, where, and the combination of taste and texture was on point! A pretty big part. Service was good and the coffee had a hint of cinnamon: will visit again!"

"Honestly, the staff was super friendly and hadn't let me wait long for order. Beverages were very well made and not at the expense of an arm and a leg and the staff was very helpful to find out what kind of tap I wanted. They also had a super nice atmosphere I came here to watch the Dodgers game alone and ended up making a friend so this place should get it a ten out of ten."

"We went to lunch on a Saturday and the atmosphere was extremely noisy. There was a group of kids and their parents celebrating after a game. The kids were throwing pasta at each other and water while the parents discussed loudly the details of the game and never once disciplined the kids. Unfortunately, At some point, I got pasta on my hair! Aside from that, the food was so good that it was worth getting pasta on my hair. The pizza dough is extremely tasty, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the toppings are excellent. There was a nice selection of salads and veggies for those who don't eat pizza. Although the noise was at times unbearable, the food is great and I will come back when there are no after-game parties."

"First time trying CPK and it was pretty good. It's expensive but good. I had a passion fruit mango iced tea to drink. To eat I had the Avocado Club Egg Rolls, Cedar Plank Salmon and had a Belgian Chocolate Souffle Cake for dessert. The iced tea was ok definitely my least favorite thing that I had. The egg rolls were delicious especially with the accompanying dressings. The salmon was good and the white corn and spinach succotash was excellent. The Belgian Chocolate Souffle Cake was good but I also tried the butter cake and that was way better. Overall, this is a great place to go to just keep in mind that it's expensive."

"This restaurant in Pasadena is one of the top places for boba tea. The boba is fresh and not tough, and the milk tea we tried was full of flavor, unlike other places that can be bland. The service was quick and the cashier was friendly. They also have a touch screen machine for ordering if you prefer not to interact with the staff. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for an authentic boba shop. Parking can be a bit challenging, but there are metered spots available nearby."

"Urban Plates, where have you been my whole life!! Great food, great service, great prices! The Steak sandwich is really masterpiece of aromas and textures that deserves a place on the menu in the sky. Now that I have your attention, let me tell you the story of our first visit to Urban Plates. It was a birthday dinner on a Sunday evening with a big party of 30-50 people. The birthday boy arranged with management to reserve a whole section of the dining area for our group. I don't think they really take reservations so it was nice to take us. That said the kitchen and the staff were really at their game. Even if they were completely muddled with orders, our food was delivered to our table in less than ten minutes. Thanks to these guys and Gals for good service. I ordered the steak sandwich with an additional side of Macn cheese and my wife ordered the chicken tong plates. By the way, a comfort eating favorite of her since childhood. We were both very impressed by the quality of food at such a reasonable price. Really an experience for the joy of eating. My wife is very pleased to try the hot chicken at our next visit. Personally, if there was a competition for the best steak sandwich in Pasadena, the chimichurri Steak sandwich at Urban Plates could hit the very popular beef-dip sandwich at the high end of the road directly. Very high quality food for a very reasonable price. Fun Facts: -Urban Plates first location in San Diego opened in 2011. - Founded by Saad Nadhir and John Zagara, the chain currently has only over twenty sites mostly in Southern California. You have plans to expand outside California slowly. - Your website claims that their food is all scratches made with organic ingredients. Use of hormone and antibiotic free grass feed beef, sustainable salmon, and never frozen chicken. So, do yourself a favor and give this amazing place a try soon."
