"As a former chair for the Porterville Chamber of Commerce, I would like to say that I am thrilled that a small business on Main Street has expanded to a larger restaurant in downtown Porterville, making the city centre of crucial importance. I often tried lunch in the smaller place and never got disappointed. As with all shops when you expand, you experience “growth pain”. You lose the help and need to train new employees, and also teach existing staff in all new technologies. This takes time and patience for not only the entrepreneur and the staff, but also the males, so if you have limited time for your lunch, I would recommend in your order before the time. When the new website opened, they were somewhat slow, but after a few weeks this time was shortened. My husband and I wanted to eat tonight. Since they have steaks, I tried the New York 10 ounces and my husband's ribeye 14 ounces. They were cooked to complete medium cream, served with a crisp green salad and garlic flavored red potatoes. Before them was “spot on”. After dinner the waitress came to the table several times during our meal to see how it was and if we wanted something else. I said I'd take a piece of cheesecake for dessert. She recognized my request, at which point I told her I was a joke because I didn't know they had dessert. You actually have raspberry cheesecake and a brownie dessert, so we tried the cheesecake. Very good! For those I have heard mention that the food was good, but a long time took to get food, note that perfection takes time. From the time we ordered until our food arrived, about 25 minutes. We arrived on Friday night at 5:45 and the place was very packed with cartridges. When we were gone, people waited for tables to empty, but at no time these people were ignored. Staff and owners spoke with cartridges and brought tables from outside to quickly sit people. Job well done Mr. Zenz!"
