"This is my first review, however, I feel the need to write this one. I have lived in Quakertown over 25 years, and in many other places for the other 30. I have never found a place with such consistent good food, good service, and the kind of personal attention from not only the staff but the owner, Sunday. I'll walk you through to give you an idea. It is a blast from the past to walk in the door, be greeted by first name basis and have your correct drinks sat down in front of you by amazing waitresses without even asking. Then comes the food, not only is the breakfast incredible, the prices are bar none. Two eggs to your liking, homefries and toast.. 99 cents! Most of the time we can't even finish our plate, and OMG the potatoes.. pillows of amazingness.. melt in your mouth slices of joy : The best cooked scrapple you'll ever have and don't get me started on the Pork roll. Moving on from breakfast is lunch, and this was new for us as we are breakfast people. The other day we ran late and decided to do lunch. Man, have we been missing out. A Gyro with Feta cheese and a Mushroom Swiss burger with fried onions, cooked to perfection and delicious. As I said we are Quakertown through and through and the Q Mart Gyro was the bar to beat. Well, that bar has been raised. This was hands down the best Gyro I ever had. Next to mention, the House salad. Fresh veggies, scrubbed clean, homemade Thousand Island dressing that is drool worthy, and a helping size that you can't even finish.. it's a meal in itself! So, in conclusion, I saved the best for last. The DESSERTS. Oh my goodness, the dessert. From the Cheesecake, to the Bread Pudding, to the Coconut Custard Pie with butter crust, all homemade by Sunday himself. You can't get get closer to heaven than that. As you can tell, we love this place. From the great waitresses, awesome food, and quaint and very clean environment of the restaurant, it's definitely worth a visit and you will soon be hooked like we are. A Gem hiding in plain sight... P.S. Try the Peanut butter chocolate ganache cheesecake... You won't be disappointed"

"After a drought of quality time together, my partner and I decided it was time for a fun dinner out together. Admittedly, we checked Google reviews first! The location and diner-like menu (plus availability of a bar) lead us to Pub; it's also within walking distance. The IPA on tap was exactly the kind I enjoy Goose something and it was nice to sit and sip a beer while we chatted and caught glimpses of the Phillies playing the Orioles. My partner decided on a cup of Italian Wedding soup; he said it was as expected and dumped his saltine crackers in almost immediately. I had a taste of the broth and it was good! I generally do not like Italian Wedding soup. He finished all of it. A good, flavorful broth is a good measure of a restaurant if I were judging them on the broth alone, they would win my favor. The sit-down area wasn't too busy tables were empty but most booths were occupied so we had no problem getting comfortable. It was apparent that there was only one server; being a Monday night, I wasn't surprised. I feel for wait staff in this pandemic world because staffing and supply shortages have been costing them tips, despite the wait staff having no impact on either! And as someone who previously served tables, I know how demanding (and demeaning) guests can be.For dinner, partner went with an Italian club sandwich, I went with the reuben, and we ordered sweet potato fries to share. Our server was well versed in the varieties of toast available. My partner ordered his club without cheese, which is atypical, and it arrived with cheese. As soon as we mentioned it, she had a fresh club made no picking the cheese off. It was a whole new sandwich! I saw her write it down and I know it's a bit unconventional, and we appreciated her quick response despite being the only server. My reuben was perfection. It was all of the delicious essentials that a reuben needs to be: savory corned beef, sauerkraut, dressing, melted Swiss, etc., on perfectly toasted bread that was not soggy. The sweet potato fries were very thin-cut and well salted, so the balance of sweet and savory was perfectly combined with a dab of good old ketchup.I've lived in Quakertown a while now; the Pub is within walking distance. I don't know why I waited so long to try it. It's easy and comfortable to stick with the same over and over... maybe this will be our new same spot! Don't go to John's. Go to the Pub!"
