"First off, the service staff was incredible. The woman who greeted us at the door was off-putting but the gentleman with her came by later as was very friendly. Even joked about her odd remark at the door. Luckily we only saw her briefly and the rest of the staff was excellent. The bread is very fresh and tasty. The bacon appetizer was very good. They added some sauce to the steakhouse classic, which I don’t think was needed, but was still very good. Unfortunately, the lobster tail cocktail was terrible. I think it’s the most expensive appetizer on the menu. It was bland and I can’t imagine fresh. I’ve had the colossal shrimp cocktail before and it was very good. Was hoping the tail would be the same caliber—it’s not.The medium rare porterhouse was good. It was cooked and seasoned well and still a good temperature when it got to the table. They get points for that. But for a place that seems to promote themselves as a steak place, it wasn’t top quality. There are far better steaks nearby. But it was fine. The truffle fries were probably the best part of the meal, which is nice, but at those prices not a reason to return. The sautéed wilted spinach was terrible. Way too much oil garlic. I’ve had it before and it was very good. So good I ordered a again. So, maybe an off night. The desserts were decent. We were mistakenly given a cookie dish sundae that was basically a cookie melted in hot fudge with ice cream. Very mushy but tasty. They comped that mistake and brought the rainbow cookie sundae we ordered. They use very good rainbows and what can go wrong with ice cream and strawberry sauce? Not a reason to return, but good desserts.I’m not surprised this place was mostly empty in a Saturday night. The front of the house (except 1 greeter) was awesome. The back of the house, not so much. I don’t think we’ll return. Too bad. We had high hopes for Let’s Meat."
