"What a fantastic place we stumbled! It was our first time we visited the weekend. We didn't know what to expect, but the menu looked super online. We were pleasantly surprised by the cozy atmosphere when we went in the door. It has the quintessential antique Vermont feeling. We sat at the fireplace, a wood stove. The owner Leslie stopped at the table shortly after the welcome. Her husband is the cook, and she told us how everything started. We were happy to chat with her and hear everything from the beginning of the restaurant to the signatures and cocktails. Now for food and drink! First, the pomegranate martini was incredible. You have to ask. I don't know that this will be a regular offer as it was a special one on the board when we came in. So glad we tried, we had several at the table. The pig's stall was the tenderest and most delicious I've ever had. We learned that the pig came from a local farm. You can say it absolutely. The Butternuss quash, which was served together, was literally the best I ever had. One of the two “secret ingredients”, a little orange juice in it! We had to ask because it was so good. We also have the chicken cure, delicious! Steak was perfect. All ingredients are fresh. Every dish must be ordered. It shows! Whenever possible, the ingredients are produced locally. That also shows! We loved the atmosphere. Casual, picturesque and cozy. We will definitely come back! Thanks to Leslie and her husband, the cook! It was an unforgettable evening."
