"My wife and I often come for lunch after appointments in the area (we live in Greeley). The atmosphere is relaxing, and the staff are amazing. We've had Rhea on multiple occasions, and she is extremely attentive and friendly. My wife loves how fresh their salads are and craves their maple bourbon salmon. They currently have a peach bruschetta, which is fantastic! I have enjoyed their burgers and fries (oh, the fries are amazing) as well as a few different pasta dishes. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Cacciatore has become one of our new favorite places!"

"I tried this place outside of their happy hour and left fully satisfied. I made a reservation through Yelp, but there was plenty of space on a Sunday night. We ordered rolls: Green Flash (my fav), Kraken, Tataki, and Spicy Tofuna. We enjoyed all of them, appreciating the unique combinations of flavors and nice presentation. The food arrived promptly, and the waitstaff were always attentive, ensuring our drinks were refilled. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would definitely visit again when I'm in this neighborhood."

"Our first night in SF we dined here. It was popular with the influencers, Mike Chen in particular.We were not disappointed. We got the roasted crab dinner for two. It came with a salad, rolls, garlic noodles, the crab itself and some fried banana and ice cream. Great value.The salad was so fresh, the rolls delicious, the noodles were divine. We opted for the peppercorn and garlic seasoning on the crab and it was terrific.The staff were just wonderful humans and so attentive.We will definitely go back as the smells of all the different dishes being brought to other diners was incredible."

"I've been here before and went back knowing they offer a bit of solitude in the Union Square area. A business lunch with two colleagues, service was excellent even when one arrived quite a bit late. Menu a bit limited, but the different dishes we ordered were all quite good. The Caesar salad was one of the best I've ever had. My only gripe was that they were using only one small corner of the seating area with all guests crammed in shoulder to shoulder. It would have been nice to spread out a bit. Will undoubtedly return."

"Everything was perfect: texture and flavor were on point, would not change a thing. The anchovy dish was the best starter with the saltiness and freshness of the fish paired with the crispy biscuit underneath it. For the main, I loved the rice with king prawns, seaweed, tripe, and the other assortment of items. The ice cream for dessert was so good, I actually stopped for a moment service was immaculate and kind, they all knew what they were talking about for the dish and I had great conversations with a couple of them. They were always helpful and it was definitely a nice surprise to be asked if I would like to meet the Head Chef, Corey Lee very deserving of its stars, I will be coming back"

"Love this old-school Chinese restaurant. Came here for the first time as a group of 3 on a busy Sunday evening and there was a loong wait. I learned pretty quickly that you have to write your name and the number of people in your party on the whiteboard by the door to hold your spot on the queue. However, my family were okay with sitting with strangers so our wait was cut short by possibly 20+ minutes. We ordered: Original Dry Fried Chicken Wings 8/10 Dry Fried Flounder Fillet 9/10 Black Bean Sauce Noodle 10/10 Dried Sauteed String Beans 10/10 White Rice We went with what was popular and we were not disappointed. The portions were generous. The food was delicious and fresh. We ate 'til we were way too full and still had leftovers to take home. And have you ever had microwaved day old fried chicken and it was still crispy? THE LEFTOVERS WERE STILL DELICIOUS THE NEXT DAY!"

"I used to come to City View a lot when it was at Commercial Alley. I really liked bringing friends and family here who were visiting. The space was bright, large tables, you could really enjoy the ambiance with the many carts filled with dim sum rolling by. The food was spot on, and, they validated parking! We brought a visiting family member from Argentina here recently and it was beyond disappointing. Although we were seated immediately, the new space is much darker and kind of depressing. Also, the format now is more that you order off of a menu rather than grab something from the rolling carts. They still have the carts, but they are far and few between. Most of the foods is ordered off the menu, and it takes FOREVER....we waited almost 20 minutes for sesame balls...other dim sum, e.g. shrimp and chive dim sum, was actually burned on the bottom, so the quality took a nose dive. They also would cut some of the dim sum items, like the Taro balls and sesame balls in two, automatically. Now you have to ask! Other items also took a long time to arrive and the restaurant was not anywhere as busy as it was when it was on Commercial Alley. Lastly, trying to get someone's attention to get the bill and then actually having them ring you up and bring back the receipt, after you've given them your card, took fooooorever. For this person, the magic that was with City View is now gone IMHO."

"On the corner of Broadway and Stockton. We were lucky to find this Restaurant without waiting, it was Chinese Parade and the area was packed with people lining up to get Into the eating places. We ordered the Won Ton soup, the soup had plenty of Won Tons with a flavorful broth and Bok Choi. The stir fry vegetables order was really hot and included bamboo shoots, mushrooms, tofu. We treated ourselves to the salt and paper pork, delightful player with crispy, juicy strips of thin pork with diced fried peppers. We also order a rice plate that came with sweet and juicy prawns with a mixture of silky scrambled eggs. The thin noodles on our prawn chow mein needed to be more savory without sticking together."

"Casual Indian restaurant off of market st. I ignored sentiment from the reviews and ordered the paneer tikka masala and a garlic naan. Portion sizes were adequate for two people, and I was hungry (first meal of the day at 2pm)! The tikka masala itself was a bit too liquidy and the quantity of paneer cubes was lacking. Flavor-wise it was good but not great. The garlic naan however was delicious, thinner/lighter than most naan and cooked properly with some char marks. The rice was better than average, whichever ghee or oil they used is what made it great. Price was a little much due to the location but at least you get good quantity with it. If you go here, get the vindaloo as suggested by others, not the tikka masala."

"Caliente did NOT disappoint – delicious! Ordered a regular burrito for lunch to go. Service was friendly quick. After a 2 ½ blocks walk home to start my lunch, the burrito was still temperature hot. The wrap was not your normal steamed wrap like most burrito joints, but very lightly grilled to give it that savory light golden brown texture. Ingredients were simple: rice, pinto beans, cheese and very generous portions of tender fresh braised chicken. Being a Gordo’s burrito loyalist, Caliente’s regular burrito was even LARGER than a Gordo’s Super Burrito. BONUS – free bag of chips 2 different salsa’s were included. I will definitely be back to try their different offerings. These are the types of small local owned businesses the community/city needs to frequent and rally behind: quality delicious food, value, very generous portions friendly service, what else can you ask for?"

"I had called Park Tavern a handful of times to make a reservation as I heard they had opened back up. I have family in town and thought it would be fun to take them to an old favorite. The number they have listed just brings you straight to a voicemail telling you to book through open table each time so that is what I did. I had a reservation for 5 people last night at 6pm confirmed. We arrived at 6pm to see a dark, dingy, very NOT open restaurant with paper taped to the door saying they are closed and to go to one of their other restaurants. So thanks to a false booking I had 5 hungry out-of-towners stuck at 6pm on a Friday at north beach with no dinner reservations. Beyond frustrating. If they have re-opened they clearly have not gotten it together yet."

"I recently celebrated a birthday dinner at this restaurant with a group of 14. The service was outstanding and the Italian cuisine was the best I have ever had. Everyone in our party loved their meals, including dishes such as margherita pizza, arugula salad, spicy penne pasta, gnocchi, lobster ravioli, and pesto pasta. All of the dishes were fresh and full of flavor, exceeding all of our expectations. Piccolo Forno has now become our favorite restaurant to visit whenever we are in San Francisco. I highly recommend it!"

"I finally tried this restaurant because it has great ratings and it’s closer to where I live. I’m frankly wildly disappointed. I ordered through DoorDash the filling items with my experience: pesto pasta (pesto is rather tasteless and have literally no flavor profile worth enjoying , garlic bread (tastes great but thin, flimsy and not worth the price. It’s the only way I could eat the pasta though , Caesar salad with grilled chicken (this honestly even smelled bad when I opened it and it made me think it was the chicken. Hot chicken on salad is gross to me but the chicken wasn’t great and the salad wasn’t fresh because there was a lot of browned leaves plus the croutons were tiny and almost not present , tiramisu (I haven’t tried this because there’s like a gross slimy film on the bottom of the container and I’m not sure I want to risk it? and a chocolate cheesecake (this is a 3 out of 5 stars . For all these items combined through DoorDash this cost me nearly $100. A total waste of my money for food I found to be really really subpar for the price. This is just my honest opinion. Really disappointed in the food. Cheap and flavorless for $100 is not cool."

"About a month ago I had breakfast here and did not have anything good to say about the dining experience. However I was invited back by management to give the restaurant another chance since I was assured it was not a typical dining experience that I had. Today I went for lunch. My husband had a really good burger and fries. I had the fish tacos. We both enjoyed our choices and found the food very tasty. Service was pleasant and efficient. I don't typically do restaurant reviews but I am glad I returned and feel that my bad experience a month ago was atypical. Thanks to Abbas Qabazard for reaching out to encourage me to experience a lovely lunch."
