"We 've eaten at Hong 's lots of time have generally enjoyed the experience. We decided it would be the perfect spot for a post-Star Wars Not Christmas dinner. We approached the meal with lower expectations because it was a holiday. And we were not disappointed. Okay, we were, but we 'd allowed for that mostly. Still, while we didn 't expect the usual attentiveness we experience, we were put off that other parties--one without a reservation--were served well before we even got our drinks. We had to ask for every, single part of the meal--including a wine list and to order--repeatedly. One dish--walnut honey prawns--was barely warm, and the walnuts had been replaced with pecans. The other, a sizzling beef special, was okay. The only thing that came quickly was the check. It was particularly galling when an older couple seated next to us as we were finishing were treated with exceptional care and attentiveness, the server going over every aspect of the meal and bringing their drinks and appetizers promptly. We couldn 't help but wonder if our poor service had something to do with being two women dining together. Maybe it was that we 'd moved from one side of the front dining room, where we were placed in front of a drafty door, to the other, where it turned out we were in front of an equally drafty window. Who knows? But on a particularly cold night, this chill added to an overall unsatisfying experience."

"I have a friend who when he says try this place I go, strongly suggested this establishment. It is low key, casual and serves spicy food, what else can you ask for? There is sign next to road but none on the building or door so you may have to look for it but do not give up, it is a gem worth searching for.If the weather is nice you may see a bunch of people eating outside. You may also notice most of them have a glass of what looks like orange milkshake. It is a drink called Mango Lassi and in my opinion, an essential ingredient to enjoying the food here.Let me digress for a minute to explain why. They server some hot stuff here. The heat from a compound called capsaicin. Here 's the takeaway, capsaicin is not water soluble. If you drink water, soda or beer it won 't make a difference. Capsaicin is fat soluble, hence the Mango Lassi which is made from yogurt and mango pulp. It instantly stops the burn and is very tasty and satisfying in it 's own right. It is casual here and when you enter you go to the counter and pick up a menu. You can order things now if you know what you want and this when you should order a Mango Lassi and it will be brought to your table, If you do not know what you want put yourself in the very capable hands of the staff and follow their recommendations. I was going to order Lamb Vindaloo but ordered the Lamb Roganjosh after speaking with the proprietor and was I glad it did. Also tried Momo 's and garlic naan as a side. It was probably the best South Asian food I have had outside of San Francisco. I highly recommend it as worth a trip from anywhere in the South Bay."

"this place is not worth the money. if they want fondue, they literally go somewhere else. it could even be worth the hours of driving to come to the next when wasting their time here. we always came here, but they've been getting worse and worse. after a multi-year break, hoping that they would improve, we tried again. we will not go back. they have a very limited selection in comparison to other fondue places for their cheese and chocolate, which are both incredibly bland. I speak 6 cheese options and 6 chocolate options without taste. we ordered the stinking rose (carish and swedish) and it was only melted black cheese. I could be at home for color. the atmosphere is not worth the price. they had us in a backroom that was so dark that we had to use the flashlights of our phones to see our food. I talk as dark as a bedroom with a single nightlight. we asked if something could be done on two different people, and both said they would look into them, and we never heard of them again. I had to literally keep my phone over the grill the entire time I was cooking because otherwise my food was impossible to see. the food took to us forever, and no one covered our poor waitress when she went to lunch, so we sat there for a whole half an hour after we had finished our meat course, without anyone checking on us. we had to follow someone to serve us multiple times. at the end our server revealed that the service fee is shared evenly, which means that the employees who have left us and they would still get money, although they had to be forced to do their jobs. we gave her a tip that she deserved, but it hurt that we had to pay more for waste. To be honest, our entire bill should have gone to her and to the kitchen staff and no one else. for three people it came to $200 . that is obscene when considering how bad the service and the eating was. they cannot calculate so much and have bland, tasteless eating while leaving their customers in empty, dark rooms. we had to keep track of people, something we don't have to do in a chic restaurant. I had a better service with Dennys. they sniffed us at every turn, from there when we came in to pay us desperately so that we could finally leave the dark room. it felt honest as if they thought we were not good enough to eat there, something I had never had a problem with in other chic restaurants. I never go back, and I suggest you go anywhere else, if possible. that was a more expensive mistake, but at least this time we learned it safely, and we will never do it again."
