"We had read several positive reviews about this place and decided to try it for brunch yesterday. Upon entering, it took about 5 minutes before anyone came over to seat us. When someone finally approached, we explained that there were three of us, and she informed us that a table was about to become available, which they would clean and seat us at shortly. However, a few moments later, another woman walked in and was greeted warmly by what seemed to be the owner. To our surprise, the owner promptly gave away the table that had been promised to us. I politely mentioned that we had been told we could have that table, but the woman who had just arrived, apparently a regular, offered to take a smaller table meant for two. The owner insisted that she take the table for four, saying, “We are going to sit you there,” and completely disregarded our reservation for that spot. At no point did she address us directly, instead deciding that we would just get the next available table that could accommodate us. Feeling unwelcome, we decided to leave. While I’m sure the food is good and the restaurant is popular with locals and regulars, there’s no justification for treating customers this way."
