"We walked in and it was a very cleanly place, got seated right away, brought out waters as we got settled and then took our drink order which came out rapidly. We ordered appetizers which consisted of fried green tomatoes and spinach artichoke dip, which were so good! Then the waitress took a while to get our meals ordered, when she finally did our appetizers were gone. I had the BBQ burger and sweet potato fries which was very tasty, and my friends had a Cobb salad and brisket bbq grilled cheese and everyone enjoyed the food, however as it got busier the waitress was lacking. Over all we enjoyed the clean and friendly atmosphere, the fantastic food and good company! Would come again!"

"Fast food is not her appetizer, and it's wonderful. I was able to stop and lunch at your mom last weekend and I have nothing but wonderful things to say. First, it is family owned and operated so that you just feel at home when you go. One can clearly say that they spend time and put love in their food. I tried the Brussels spear first, then followed with the shrimp picayune grits.. everything I can say is wow! My taste buds still thank me. My friend ordered the chicken steak and of course I had to try it. not only was it massive, but it was perfectly cooked. The dough was crispy and light, and I also learned that they cut their own meat that is rare nowadays. I don't regret making a picture of it, but let's be honest if something looks and smells good, the time for a picture. The ambience is also beautiful and the character of the exposed brick is also a beautiful touch. Please do a favor and visit your mother if you have the chance!"

"Sunday-drive on a Saturday took us to the town of Smithville, TX, best known for movie Hope Floats (photo). Pocket 's Grille was a good choice to eat. Big menu with something for everyone; friendly order-taker made an old guy feel welcome, calling me 'hun ';variety of seating options. Wife had blue cheese mushroom burger, no bun. I adapted their BLT to a BT on white bread not toastedwith extra mayo, plus coleslaw. Food was very good. Food soft drinks: $24. A solid 4 ."

"Really cool old school go to place with a few good ole’ all American Junk food. Not a great choice for vegetarians, but if you are just looking for some cheese sticks, roasted pimples, French fries or ice cream, I recommend this place. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. They let me take the bacon from the jumping Jack Pommes, which I liked. I look forward to going back and trying the grilled cheese and onion rings. If these guys had a Veggie Burger, it would be the perfect place. I'm sure I'm back!"

"I was just passing thru looking to do somewhere at noon when I passed this place saw the parking lot full of cars. I turned around and went back I am sure happy that I!!! The food was as good as fresh. Customer service was great and you just got the whole small family restaurant. It is a meat 3 pages space with different selections every day I believe plus a whole loaded menu. If you are in the it is worth stopping and having a good meal."

"We're relatively new to KC, so we're not BBQ experts in any way, but... this place blows away some of the bigger names in the KC area. We ordered the fried pickles and corn nuggets as an appetizer...both are good. For our entrees we ordered the burned end plate, Brisket Nachos and the Brisket Sandwich. It was all EXCELLENT!!! We'll be back."

"Cute out of the way location hidden in the back of an old time place. Not much seating but cozy. Our order was quickly taken, and we were asked how we would like our burgers, but all of them came out the same way. Buns were fluffy delicious. Onion rings were delicious even though when I asked I was told it was purchase frozen. I did not mind. They were very good. French fries were nice everything was hot. Looks like they do a lot of takeout. I would say yes this place is good, but just be prepared that you will get the burger cooked fully, and not medium rare as I asked."

"Arrived kinda late for a quick dinner. Service was quick and adequate. The food was good, but read the fine print, as to what is included in the meal, which is much smaller print hard to read. Restaurant needs to be brighter and some updates needed. On a recent visit on 05/23, the food was good . However, service was a little slow. Visited 10/10/23 food great and good service. All good service and food for 8/3/2024."

"I left this precious café! The food was wonderful. The staff were all cute as Southern Tea. While we were there, three different waiting forces stopped to clean the table or just make sure we had everything we needed. If I am always within 2 or 3 hours of this place, it will be added to my trip."

"Tried this little place in Smithville tonight and really enjoyed it. Started off with some beans and queso, very good. Chips were good. I don't like them salted and these were great. I ordered the Burrito Hawaii (see photo). Loaded with meat (chicken, steak, shrimp, and chorizo). Covered in queso and three pineapple rings on top for just a little bit of sweetness. My wife got the Chile Verde with chicken, which was good and also came with rice and beans. I asked the server if they had a sauce that was a little spicier. She's offered me something? Jalapeno and it was terrific! Maybe a crema something? We'll be back! Probably on a Tuesday or Thursday for $1 tacos!"

"Never judge a book with his cover, this place has the most amazing food!!! I had the Rueben and I was super amazed. They're very much. We had the fried jalapeños and fried pickles, buffalo wings and pizza. They also served WD-40 ice cold!!! Sometimes they close a little early."

"We decided to review this facility. FRWB didn't disappoint. We enjoyed pizza, Asian Koleslaw and salted caramel cheesecake together with adult drinks. The service and the atmosphere were wonderful. I tried a few of the seasonal cocktails and enjoyed the different flavors. There is a bar or tables to sit for your comfort. Several people enjoy the **** Mary make it even bar. If you're in the area, fall at the wine bar and sit a spell."

"Perhaps if we had not come on a Friday we could have had better service. It starts with them no taking reservations. There were 7 of us, getting there around 6ish. We were told the wait was 40min. It took an hour to get a table. Then to get a waitress was another 15 min. No silverware on table when salads were served. Couldn’t find a waitress to tell so had to grab someone walking by. Waitress never came back to refill drinks, check on us to see if food was good or whether we wanted dessert. The whole time we were there (90min) there was a table that could seat 10 with only a man and woman there. Guess they had special privileges? We noticed people who was there way ahead of us still sitting at their tables. You know why? They were waiting for the band to start and they were not leaving. When we walked out at 8 there were still people waiting to get seated. The food was not good. Our steaks were so tough, after two bites gave up on it. Salmon wasn’t anything special. Philly sandwich was dry. We will never be back. They need to put people wanting to watch the band in a different section then those just wanting to eat and leave. Oh almost forgot that when son in law and family were leaving in their truck they could not back out of their parking space due to cars parked against the side of the building. Went in to ask if they could announce a car to move when the band had a song break…they said absolutely not! Wow. Really? So, they had to call the police who ran the license plates and contacted them. This whole fiasco took over an hour just to get out of their parking space. The bar/restaurant owner is not customer accommodating. No more business from me and our family."

"On the way to Houston was a dinner. Excellent street side cantina and Tex-mex-spot. Flavorful table salsa with a good texture. Much and delicious chips to go with it. Tried the Chile con Queso, that was excellent. Nice that the Jalapeños on the page to add more warmth if you want it. I had the Cancun plate to try a variety. I love tacos meat. Good guacamole. The fried beans were cunker than I like, but the taste was very good. Cheese Enchiladas were solid with a good meat sauce. My wife had the Chicken Cabana Taco, which ended up a single big soft taco that used a unique fried bread as I see on Tortas. It was a little heavy, but very tasteful. However, the filling was excellent. Fajita chicken and vegetables in an excellent cheese sauce. It felt like a signature court and tasted like the cook really some work in it. Recommended. Friendly and attentive employees around the visit really topped. Look at it when you're in the area."

"Honestly I was very excited to go here because it seems like they had a lot of authentic food here.However they were either short staffed or something. We were given water not attended to for another 30 minutes asked for drinks and ordered food.After an hour of waiting we finally received our food which was COLD.They did make it right take off the cold food. But i left hungry w/ belly full if mimosa because I couldn't eat the cold steak chilaquiles I ordered.I would want to give it another try because i do think they have good food from what I've heard. Just an underwhelming 1st experience. . Maybe ask for the female server instead next time."

"The food was absolutely awful, bland, dry and over cooked. I got the combination fried rice and my grandmother got vegetable lo mein. Honestly even the crab rangoons were really bad too. The only edible thing was the egg drop soup. As for the restaurant itself it was cleaned and well organized but the food is just not good. It is a small town so you cant expect much."
