"I will begin by stating that the service was great and we received our food quickly. However, I 'm still searching for decent Mexican food in Montana. This is not it. My husband had the taco and it was unexpectedly good. Not a premade shell out of a box, which is the usual in the northern Rockies. That was the end of the good part, however. The tortilla chips (advertised as freshly made) were thick and cold. The salsa was bland and I seriously doubt it was homemade. Perhaps they use canned tomatoes? If anyplace in the region offers beef as a meat choice, expect ground beef. So when their menu offered beef or ranchero beef, I was hopeful that the ranchero beef would be shredded. It was not. I 'm not sure what made it ranchero, but I guarantee you that if you go to any ranchero in Mexíco you will not get the ground beef that I received. It was essentially a Taco Bell enchirito. Olives and all. Smothered with sour cream. No sour cream is mentioned on the menu, if it had been I would have ordered it without. I 'd guess I 'm not the only person who doesn 't care to have my entire dinner covered in sour cream. I 'm glad I wasn 't hungry because I only ate two bites of it. As for the vista linda (translates to beautiful view in Spanish), as someone else stated, the view is of the parking lot. If they had changed the orientation of the building whenever it was built, it may have had a beautiful view of the lake, but they did not. The view is to the south, not east. The decor inside is straight out of 1970. Metal and vinyl chairs. Fake wood tables. If you want a nice dining experience and authentic Mexican food, I recommend you look elsewhere. If you, like my elderly parents, like ground beef tacos and burritos, and bland fare, this is your place."
