"Been here twice in the past couple of years. Had the lunch special on my first visit, a very good pork sandwich with cheese and bbq sauce. My most recent was the fried chicken dinner with fries and gravy, with blueberry pie and chocolate ice cream. The food here is very good, all home made deserts. Parking is usually plentiful, rarely crowded, always friendly staff. The hours here changed due to lack of staffing so Mon-Thurs they are only open for breakfast and lunch (8am-3pm), Friday-Sunday they are open from 8am-7pm for all meals. Small menu, but delicious options nonetheless. I wish I lived closer to come by more often, but I live an hour and a half away (on a good day) and am only in the area to visit my in-laws at their camper. I may have to make a special trip up here more often because it will definitely be worth it. Please try the pies, they are amazing!"

"I ended up at the Thirsty Duck on a random Friday in February. I must say this place blew away all expectations. The other customers were nice and fun. The building was huge and CLEAN. The host live entertainment like Bands, and Magicians. They even had bowling in the basement. The staff was friendly and attentive. What I liked most about The Thirsty Duck was how they perfectly mixed the look and feel of a downtown bar, but it still had the warm welcome, relaxing atmosphere and prices of a corner bar without all the riff raff. I defiantly will be grabbing another drink or two next time I am in the Area."

"1st time being here, and I would definitely go back. I had 4 orders of wings... mild buffalo boneless, hot buffalo regular, sweet Thai chili, and mango habanero. I also ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries. I didn't have the buffalo, but I was told they were good. The Thai chili and mango habanero had a good flavor, but absolutely no spiciness to them. The burger, by the time I got home, had been sitting in the carton for about an hour, and guess what? The burger was still really good, cooked perfectly, and the fries were still good! "One of us had the Mexican Thursday special. The chicken chipotle burrito. The burrito was packed with cubed potatoes. So disgusting. Tiny little pieces of chicken. Like barely any chicken at all. Nothing else. No lettuce, tomato, cheese, rice, peppers. Just potatoes. $15.00 for that! I?ve given you guys like eight chances and only because Sussex doesn?t have many options. The picture on the right is from google images. That?s what it?s supposed to look like. I had the prime rib sandwich and it was good. A very disappointing night out for a $60.00 bill because one of us left saying it was the grossest thing he?s ever eaten. No I did not tell our server Austin because I could tell from the beginning he wasn?t the type to care. I also asked if you had cherry vodka and you didn?t. Five minutes later I see the other bartender use raspberry vodka. That would have worked. I wish Austin would have gone a little above and beyond and recommend another option. I always say, if you wouldn?t eat it, don?t serve it."

"After a particularly rough day, I stopped at Cow Patty's for the first time this evening. It was probably about 20 minutes before the closed but the staff was very pleasant . I ordered 2 burgers to go, the California deluxe and the Steakhouse burger . I had a great conversation with the woman behind the counter paid my bill and left. I drove 42 minutes home and the burgers smelled delicious. They did not dissapoint. My BF and I will be taking a ride to Cow Patty's again next date night ."

"It was absolutely terrible. We had two salads and macaronis and cheese for our son. Took an hour to get it. Ordered ice cream. After 25 minutes of waiting. We walked up to take it off of our bill so we can leave. At this point we were there for an hour and 45 minutes. When we got to the front. Our ice cream was sitting on top melted!!!! The crust and sauce were outstanding!! The one test I like to do to see if a restaurant is quality or not...is the coffee test, order a cup of coffee. But the waitress finally came by and apologized. She explained how they do things in one order. When the waitress sees that your drinks are served, she comes and takes your order. It took a long time to get our drinks, so the long wait for the food order. But as I said, she apologized for it. Not to mention her, she was the only waitress, and we could see clearly that she took care of everyone. No one's fault. And when the food was served, she stopped checking. And she was very kind.
