"Next to the main square and with a view of St. Johannes der Täufer (St. John the Baptist) church, this restaurant is in a lovely setting especially when sat outside. Excellent choice of pizza etc and very efficient, friendly service. Our pizzas were huge with a good helping of topping - and although not the cheapest we had found on our holiday they were still good value.Drinks were an average price for the area. Would have got 5 stars but the only diet coke available was AfriCola - not very nice and expensive at 2.60 Euro for a 200ml bottle.On the plus side it's open most of the day so fitted in with our late (15.00) lunch perfectly."

"We enjoyed a 4 night stay at the hotel. Our familyroom was very clean and well equipped. The bathroom was recently renovated. We had half board; breakfastbuffet has plenty of choice, dinner menu is local and tastfull, always with some courses to choose from. The swimmingpool and wellness are very clean and modernised, we enjoyed it a lot. Greatest asset of this hotel are the staff; the staff at the reception were very friendly and helpfull, the staff in the restaurant/bar are friendly and observant. Staff was very accomodating towards our daughter (2y). Ideally located for walking or skiing (1 piste elevator across the hotel, Feldberg 20minute drive). Correct value for money!"

"above all: eating is great. if you like steaks. good meat, good portions. the service is so bad that I can't recommend this location. as one of us has mixed an article on menu (saw cheese late zle instead of...speakle), we have an eye rolling and “who writes the menu her or me?” all queries were answered in a way that we felt badly asked. an attempt in a small conversation (we came here for the first time a long time ago and remembered eating), got a (quote “Why do I worry” so I mean, take her choice if they want good food and don’t think how a naughty schoolchild are treated, they go there. but next time I could look for options, I am in the region."

"he is famous for his black forests. So I wanted to test if that's what the angel promises. there was plenty of space at the time of the coffee, although in deadnauberg much was going on. very friendly the service staff (2 ladies) was not someone tells me, but this is the black forests muffiness (naja, I am also so and did not know it so far). there were no more than black forests already. the torf was big and looked good. the floor was not too much soaked, but still too much for my conditions. I thought they looked too sweet up there. overall, the torte was good edible, but I wouldn't talk about high-nutrition. the coffee was good medium. for the torte overall there is a good offer like hotel or dinner I cannot judge. if the service had been a bit more friendly (or faster to pay) it could have been for 4 stars."

"Update: April 28, 2018 Ate here again today. The terrace is really nice, but the operation doesn't make the impression that she likes her job. The Rigatoni were more than al dente and very hard, for that the vegetables were absolutely soy. The pizza looked good, at least if the edge was partly very burned. So it's very questionable if I go to dinner again. ALT: Simple Super Class Says Everything"

"we have been there twice since the new opening. both the lift and the rodelbahn are too far from the heart. the denkmalgschützte house was restored last year and looks very beautiful. in the historical part is the restaurant and a few rooms, the remaining rooms are also freshly renovated next to buildings, all accessible by a walk. so also the sauna and the playroom. the rooms are lovingly furnished and they have a lot of space at least our double room was very generous. in the restaurant there are very good food we even eat extra. here is freshly cooked and the very varied, so that for everyone what is there."

"I am living near by and love to step by for eating or having a coffee. Depending on the time of the year they serve Game like deer or wild hog. Also they have fresh trout and local food all the time, all for a very affordable price. I've never been disappointed, it is really good! I have seen the hotel rooms but never stayed there. They look very comfortable and quit. Most have balconies from which you can view the mountains. The place is great to start a hiking tour. The waterfall nearby really seems enchanted. I have often been there as a kid."
