"The worst place ever! Went for a dinner with a friend of mine, we got there at 8:25 for all you can eat, the girl said that the last call for the all you can eat was at 9, and she didn’t accept us for...the all you can eat, we had to choose from the menu, till there fine!!!!! We ordered the food and drinks, for my surprise I was looking to the kitchen we the girl was picking my food to bring to the table when one of the sushi rolls fell on the floor, and she PICKED IT UP FROM FLOOR and she put it back on my plate.... when she arrived to my table I told here to bring it back because I saw what happened, and I called the manager.... I explained the situation and she apologized about that... fine! 10 minutes later, the manager came to my table again saying that she went to check on the cameras and she told me that the girl she didn’t put it back in my plate, she had putted on her wrist.... lie!!! She did put o my plate and even she fixed with her finger... I told the manager to not argue with me and I asked her to bring me the camera records, and she said that computers was on the office and she couldn’t bring it to the front..... once again I told her, it’s done I don’t wanna know more about it..... to finalize the story she came back again, with other words calling me a liar, and she had the video on the phone, that I needed to apologize the poor girl because she was new in the restaurant, (after a few times in different occasions I went there and she was serving there last month)... I asked her, how can I apologize a person that never showed up on my table after what happened? Felt on the floor, stays on the floor and ask to the kitchen for a new roll... don’t pick it up or even put on your wrist and go to a client table.... and she did put on my plate I saw it... and they came to call me a liar... that lady she can be everything she wants, but she doesn’t have qualifications to be a manager, don’t go to your costumer table give attitude, or discuss something that really happened and call your client a liar with other words.... after I payed my bill she kept saying that I needed to apologize the girl... and I refused because her attitude, and she showed me the door for me to leave, I raised my voice because she kept calling me a liar,... this place is disgusting, no professionalism, if the food fells on the floor it goes back to clients table! Just one of the girls with long braids was nice since the beginning... the rest of them full of attitude,... I don’t recommend this place to anyone! Was my last time there, it’s ridiculous, no hygiene! How many times they did this already? Can you guys trust in a restaurant like this? Plus they was swiping the floor with costumers in the dinning room, the bucket with the mop in the middle already waiting for the costumers to get the hell out of there! I’m gonna be honest, I raised my voice it’s a fact, but it only happens when someone calls me a liar and pretends to make me the wrong one!!!! Horrible, horrible, and horrible! I should put this on the TV news, because it’s so ridiculous! Don’t spend money on places that they don’t care about clients, they just care about money.... and you lost a client! You guys should be closed for ever!"

"Came tonight for a lovely dinner with my hubby for a date night and left with no dinner! We got here at 6pm for dinner before our 7:10pm leaf game, ordered our food, received bread (which I could not eat), then my hubby got his...appetizer salad as I just ordered my main. We waited patiently asking our waitress after 45mins why we didn’t have our meal. She responded that well if everybody ordered a steak in the same hour then it’s just busy and it should be out soon! At this point it was almost an hour later with no updates, after asking another waitress to check on our food! She went ahead and went to other table to make sure all was ok with their meals they were actually eating and did not go to the kitchen to ask if our food would come anytime this year! We had been here last week and got our food in 20-30 mins when it was much busier, so I was confused as to why we were waiting as long as we were. Others were onto dessert and we were still there...with no mention of even filling our water glass. At the end my husband and I were quite upset and disappointed with this service and felt like our server did not look into our meal and catered to everyone else. We cancelled our food with such disappointment, spoke to the manager who apologized profusely saying that there was no excuse to wait an hour for our meal. She was kind and considerate enough to take care of our bill which consisted of a glass of wine, beer and a salad! I must say that for this high end, high class restaurant in the Scotiabank Plaza, it was very upsetting to have such horrible service!! Don’t think we’ll be returning anytime soon! Enjoyed my Freshii salad instead of my steak dinner with broccolini and mushrooms! For the prices they charge and they amount we paid last week, they should really be on top of orders and making sure customers are WELL taken care off!"

"Dinner started with Curry Red Lentil Soup it was hearty, delicious and well spiced. Some pepper gave it a good kick and every morsel was filled with varying hues or orange and texturally satisfying. I would have liked it a little hotter temperature wise. This very filling soup was worth every penny. I feel that if this soup had came with vegan gluten free crackers or bread that it would have made a very healthy light meal for anyone who is working towards their summer body!In addition to soup, I also ordered a vegan Mango Lassi, it was my FIRST lassi ever, delicious but warm, thick but wasn’t much. Vegan yogurt is expensive, perhaps blending this lassi drink with a cup full of crushed ice and making it smoothier might have increased the appeal. With a liquor license, this lassi could go a long way on a summer evening! mmmm... MANGO!!The main I chose was Unbuttered soy curls with potatoes and peas in a tomato gravy. The textures of the curls went very well with the rice when it finally came! lol It worker out in out favour that the kitchen forgot the rice the first time around, because our plates were filled to the brim! The rice, when it came later on the side made this meal more filling than ever!!Between spoonfuls of rice, my spice root veggies and dahl lentil curry, I can say dinner went down quickly and was thoroughly enjoyed. There was even enough to pack up and take home for the next day"

"I 've been to Carter 's Landing a number of times since it opened. At the beginning, the service was fantastic with the staff being very energetic and going out of their way to make the experience wonderful. The menu was extensive and creative and the food was served hot and delicious. I went last Fall around Thanksgiving and was not at all impressed with the service. The place was very quiet with few diners. Rather than seat the guests in one of the dining areas the staff had us seated all over. With a small staff they couldn 't look after the guests properly. Service was extremely slow, food was delivered cold and was all around a very poor dining experience. I said I wouldn 't go back. Well, I was looking for a place for brunch and saw this available so decided to try it again. There was no mention of a buffet only and the website only showed a brunch menu. As my last visit, the service was horrible. We ordered coffee to begin and when it was brought about 5 or more minutes later, the server didn 't bring milk and cream, even after asking if we wanted those when we ordered the coffees. Then, a few minutes later she only brought 2 milks and 2 creamers. It was the same for our refills! The buffet at $22 a person was sparse. The 'kid ' making the omelets, crepes and waffles seemed well out of his element. Omelets were stuck to the pan, over cooked and only one at a time. Not much better on the crepes. The rest of the buffet, which consisted of 3 trays of hot items and a small table of cheese, fruit and deserts was not enough. Hot items were cold and uninspiring. It 's sad that Carter 's Landing seems to be so mismanaged because the location is absolutely perfect and begging for a place like this should be, but the bad management, poor service and lack of food quality is going to spell the end of this place which should be absolutely thriving! It 's sad actually!"
