"If I could leave a 0 I 100% would. My husband and I have come here countless times and always enjoy the ambiance, the food and staff. But tonight was different. Our reservation was for 8:30 with a 15 minutes grace period. As we arrived to Mohegan the room card kiosk was not able to provide us with keys after checking in resulting in my husband and I having to go wait in an extremely long line. With that being said we even went and brought our bags to be held so we could get to our reservation in time. As we arrived to Tao they asked if we had a reservation, which I stated yes for 8:30 under our name. She then reply’s we are no longer seating in the dining area so we could go sit in the bar. I was confused to why she would be telling us to go sit in the bar with a reservation. So I asked why were we not sitting in the dining room. Her reply was with our grace period you didn’t meet it so you can enjoy your meals in the bar because our kitchen closes in 10 minutes, but yet we can sit in the bar and get the same food as dining room (but the kitchen is closed) so explain that? I stated to her that it was checking in at the hotel was an issue to why were late. I also explained that you texted us asking if we were coming and we replied yes. We were 2 minutes passed grace period. So we understand we were late, but from things out of control from our reservation check in. I say this is poor customer service in it’s finest. This young lady with blonde hair slicked back with an attitude could have handled the situation much better than she did. With the reputation Tao has I am very disappointed that this is how you would treat a customer. May be in your best interest to hire some more quality staffing."

"I kept up here for our 40th and it was not disappointed. sometimes the fine dining room can feel cumsy. here we found that the friendly server made for a relaxed evening meal. I had the special, that was a butter poached lobster dick with garnel, on a band like pasta in a white wee lap. it was amazing. my man went with the shrimp sampling and was satisfied. even if we were full, I ordered the box of cannolis later. the roasted mandel version was my favorites, but I could not resist the one with chocolate chips."

"This was our first time here for Brunch and it was great. Great coffee, good food. I had an Eggs Benedict and it was delicious. I had it with the Cheesy Hashbrowns, also very good. Jim had eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and English muffin. Great for brunch! Our MacKadie server was very attentive, although it had LOTS of tables."

"We have gotten take out from here a few times and it is good enough that way, but dined in tonight instead and everything was so lovely! The presentation was beautiful and the food was delicious. We brought 3 small children and the staff were very courteous and kind. Our food came out so fast the kids didn't even have time to start getting antsy. The menu is expansive, meat/veggies looked and tasted very fresh, and prices are good. We especially love the sesame chicken here. It's nice big pieces of white meat and the best I've had. I highly recommend it if you're looking for great Chinese in the area! :"

"Where do I start? First service! On your birthday you get a purchase get a free meal!!!. Everything you can eat. The waitress brought me over a birthday cupcake. To the food. Starters, many soups. Lobster bisque and chicken noodle. Very good. Salad bar and some fresh fruit. The watermelon and pineapple was sweet and in the winter season. To the raw bar. Oysters, mussels and shrimps. Main course, Prime Rib and they will grill it for you when it is too rare. They have every ethnicity of food. Indian, American, Seafood, Oven Pizza, Asian, Mexican, Sushi Jamaican, Desserts galore! Ice station, strawberry short cakes, cakes, cakes, cookies, flan, puddings, all the fixes you can imagine! They also offer non-alcoholic drinks for free. They offer alcohol at a reasonable price. The price for two of us on my birthday 25.00.plus tip. I can't beat that. Easy. Clean toilets, you can bring children, big parties, easy wheelchair access. Thanks Mohegan Sun!"

"Have come here in the past and it was always a pleasant experience. Unfortunately not this time around. Service was as bad as the food. Didn’t get the woman’s name but she had a slight accent. Came to take our order but was super short with us and downright rude. All the other servers sounded polite- unfortunately we had this woman who didn’t obviously want to be here working. Avoided our table for almost 30mins and our eggs came out runny and undercooked. Told her they’re not cooked and she tells us they are edible and wouldn’t take it off the bill at first until we went to the front desk. Absolutely disgusting service. Would not recommend."

"We had a preAnniversary dinner for my parents. The food was very good my mother loved the spicy guacamole. The tacos were great and my father loved the beef empanadas. The Margaritas were amazing we each had a second round. The waiter was very attentive. At the end they brought us a slice of Tres Leches for my parents anniversary and they were not expecting it and it made them smile excited. The service was great and they had the UFC fights on which made it convenient for my dad to watch while he ate. Great restaurant"

"Was taken here for my 21st birthday and now back for Valentine's day the next year, quality still great and amazing. Service was good, she answered all our questions and listed the specials of the day including lobster ravioli. We didn't get it but they sounded really good. I got a Blood Orange cocktail and my bf a martini, no appetizers, just 2 entrees. He ordered the filet mignon that comes with brussel sprouts (sauteed I assume and the gnocchi, with portobello mushrooms, prosciutto and black truffle shavings on top! The wait was VERY short. We went the day before Valentine's day though so it wasn't very busy. He ordered his filet mignon medium rare and it came out perfect. He was worried it wouldn't be enough to fill him but it was a perfect portion with the brussel sprouts that were oddly sweet in the exterior leaves which was delicious. The gnocchi was hot and fresh, the portobello mushrooms were great flavor as well as the prosciutto. We got desert, the Expresso Brownie with Caramel and Expresso foam, and the waitress said they also had red velvet cannolis for Valentine's day so we tried those too. Brownie was hot and tasted amazing, the cannolis were okay. We thought it would taste like red velvet cake but it just tasted like overly sweet vanilla frosting dyed pink. Everything else was amazing though. And for a expensive restaurant our total was only 136$, which is pretty fair for the quality. We'll be back. :"

"Place was very pleasant looking upon arrival. Not very crowded. First put in a very tiny spot one had a nice soft bench seat the other person would have a hard chair. Being the person that would be stuck in the chair and not having a sore back at the time I asked if they had a small both or something similar. She said all they had were larger sized booths and would that be okay? Of course we were grateful and took her up on the offer. We looked over the menu and you can order reasonable or expensive. My husband started off with the clam chowder and I started off with clam fritters. His clam chowder was very tasty but on the watery side he said. My clam fritters were excellent. Just perfect cooked not burnt and super moist with actual clams inside. We both had oysters. The Mystic, Big Rock and Rhode Island. I can't believe how good these were. Perfect brine on each one. Very clean, perfectly shucked and meaty. Nice brine to every one. Next out was the steamer clams. Perfectly cooked. Nice and clean. Not one bit of sand in any of them. The taste however was not strong. Almost nonexistent same with the butter I was dipping it into. I still enjoyed them. My husband's ordered the whole belly clams. What came out looked more like a clam strip with a beginning pregnancy lol. Had the look hard to find the belly. After he mentioned it our server how we really couldn't see if they strips or whole belly. She said I can see the belly. However she told her manager who offered a replacement which he didn't want at that point so they just graciously removed the order from our bill. Our servers name was Ashley and she was very pleasant to work with. I wanted a hard seltzer. The only one available is Truly Berry on tap. Tasted fine but I had it with ice in a glass so I sure didn't get as much as someone who had it with no ice. Next time I'm going to ask for a glass of ice on the side. I will definitely return for the fritters and oyster's!! Never felt rushed. Orders came out as planned."

"not too sure if I would recommend to a friend. I made a reservation and when I checked in with the hostess, I was told that we had to wait because they were short-circuited and were not in a position to clean the tables. the hostess was not very welcome at all. instead of cleaning the tables, she tasted for st. patricks day. we waited about 10 minutes before we sat right next to dirty tables. our waitress came over 7 minutes after sitting and told us that the delay through the kitchen was short. Our waitress seemed like she would rather be somewhere different than waiting tables. it was sufficient, but did not offer too much in the kind of hospitality. the food took about 27 minutes to get out and tasted good. we were already a few times in this restaurant and that was our worst experience."
