"We had a great time at Cobalt. The food is delicious and the portion sizes are good for the high prices they charge hence the stars for value. That said, the wine markup is super ridiculous, so we likely will come back for meals with friends who drink less : (a delicious Sancerre on the menu for $125 can be bought in a store for $24.99 . Food recos Foie Gras app, Caviar app, scallop entree, and my dining companions shared that the Lamb and the mac cheese dishes were also noteworthy. Our server, Nikki was awesome friendly, super knowledgeable and attentive. My dining companions were a little put off by the larger service support, or lack thereof, in that for the type of restaurant and the price point, they expected Nikki's support staff to be a lot more visible (we had to ask for napkins and flatware after getting our first food item, when the tables are typically set before seating , and we ordered 2 plates that we stated would be split between 2 of us, and we would have expected the kitchen to plate the split. When the food runner brought the single plate, we even had to ask for extra dishes to split it ourselves. these are minor things, and we just reset our expectations that while the prices may be high, the vibe is still pretty casual. Great views on the outdoor seating area, and nice ambiance, and they are good with kiddos too (crayons and coloring sheets, and a kids menu . We will be back!"

"mason martinique wow! last Thursday I noticed in 32963 (this is our island weekly time,) mason martinique had a bouillabaisse night on Wednesday. After many years I decided not to go there, it was time to give him another try. years ago we were regular when chef yannick martin opened it and then years later when he and his wife val returned for a short run. last Wednesday night I paid a return visit. we were totally blown away. at the arrival there was a nice warm greeting. then, in this great dining room. the beautiful dining room felt friendly and welcoming. great memories of many wonderful evenings reappear in the past. the only thing missing was the fabulous chandelier in the center of the deck. the good news is, it still exists. the restaurant owner colleen is about to return it from the arrival to the boston music hall. savanah, our server, we later discovered that she served in her first night herself. she was professionally efficient and helpful. as they undoubtedly know, bouillabaisse is a meal in his own. many seafood, kartoffel, laeks and saffron. no need, an appetizer to distract from the main event. the bouillabaisse was excellent! I had expected it was good, but not so good. all seafood were perfectly prepared. the kartoffeln had still beautiful texture. yes, and the saffron was definitiw to spike the broth. I have to say that is this best bouillabaisse I had since frankly 10 years ago. but wait, there is more, not that we needed another morsel. the brotpudding had to be scanned! Once again it was better than we imagined. it was moist, warm with many rusty one cinnamon and overwhelming with aromen. the small ice spoon was the piece-de resistance. Today we were definitiw in a “Vero beach 5 stars restaurant”. great ambiente, excellent service and fantastic eating. mason martinique is back on our menu!"

"We arrived for our reservation at six thirty as asked. We were seated promptly at our table for five. The server was lovely and very attentive and knowledgeable about the food and specials. We were given water and then waited……….soon one of the bus boys threw a basket of bread on the table. With a small dish of butter. In these days of rising prices, I understand the change in the bread service. I haven’t been to the Tides once in over twenty years that the bread wasn’t offered by the server to you with a choice of at least three types of bread or delicious corn muffins. Only baguette in a basket this time. We had to ask for more butter for five folks. The apps were served. Portions of the Greek salad smaller and I had a feeling the calamari was different. Might have been some frozen rings mixed in with the bodies. Then I had a strip steak. Meat was of high quality and cooked perfectly medium rare. The sauce was strange. Very acid. I think it was a thickened worsteshire sauce or something very tart. Just didn’t go with the streak. I was disappointed as I have a anemia and only ordered the steak to help my blood count. I didn’t order the filet mignon as it has Gorgonzola sauce which is not a favorite. Yikes, there were small bits of the cheese on the plate under my onion rings adorning the steak. This is the first time in over twenty years that I have been disappointed in anything the Tides has served me. The other diners were happy with their Ahi, Veal, pompano, and grouper. Also noticed the greeters and good bye folks were missing this time. Usually Claudia is always there to send us off with good wishes. As I say. Just small changes but we felt them…….. Growth and change……..the server was charming and on it, but we did wait awhile for each course."
