"So, this food is exquisite. I had Chicken Amici, which is a marsala based sauce. The aroma kept me wanting more, even when I was full. SO delicious! The bread and butter was also delightful. Maybe a bit too much...I think we had 3 baskets! ???? The atmosphere is welcoming; however, the hostess-not so much. I think this may have been an owner, but we were not greeted, nor asked if we had been there before. The hostess took forever to seat us. She appeared to just be roaming the restaurant. Until she finally stopped at the first table as you came in and chatted with the Thursday regulars. BTW, there were plenty of open tables. After being seated, our server explained the specials and took our drink order. She took forever in bringing us our drinks. It went down hill from there. We asked for refills several times. At one point, I went to the bar to request refills. Once we received our food, we requested Parmigiano and bread. ???? However, we didn't get either one of those for 15 minutes later because our server was too consumed with the regulars and gossiping with the other server. She was frantically pacing around the restaurant making faces and flinging her hair about. Once the bill came and I paid, the server frantically went to get the change and rolled her eyes at me. Overall, the food is SO worth it. However, do not be shocked if you have poor service and not due to the pandemic or lack of staff."

"I placed an order online, I showed up at the time given to me for pickup. The order was not made, I was informed they were out of potatoes, burnt ends and brisket so they wanted to know what to swap it for. I asked for a full refund since nothing was made and they cancelled half of my order. I was informed they could not do that at the store, to call corporate at almost 8pm on Saturday to fix it. Corporate was unavailable, surprised face inserted here. After almost 30 minutes they magically found potatoes and burnt ends. Still no brisket. I was lied to about my order intentionally, corporate was no help and I consider this a **** poor attempt at fraud for service's not rendered. The food was horrible, but the treatment I received was enough to make you want to picket in front of the restaurant. I do realize mistakes do happen and things do sell out, this was not the case. I was deceived and expected to not hold my ground. I'm not sure the intention of this, but regardless this is shady way to operate in the open. I hope this is not a regular occurrence to visitors of Maggie Valley, a common practice of deception and theft. I left a generous tip as well, mostly because I felt bad for the employees and wanted to see the good in them. But upon reflecting back upon all the chaos and different people I dealt with in a short time that was me hoping and not the reality."
