"I have been a pretty regular visitor of CoV over the last few years. Lunches, dinners, happy hours, etc. However, unsure whether or not I would ever go to the Wayzata location again based on the absolutely awful, embarrassing, and shameful behavior of the general manager, Alicia. Attempted to go here to celebrate a birthday last week with a group of 5. After walking up to the host stand, telling the manager we have 5 and requesting an outdoor table, she snapped that we could not be seated until our whole party arrived (at this point 3 of us were here). I told her no problem and we’d come back up soon. About 10 mins later, we were now at 4 people but our 5th informed us he’d join towards the end and just for dessert. The 4 of us went back to the host stand, spoke with a different host and she kindly brought us to a table. The waitress approached, took our drink order, and left. A couple minutes later the manager came over and told us we needed to get up and move immediately because we weren’t a complete party. Our group was in shock. We asked a few times why we couldn’t get drinks, apps, and food while we waited for our 5th and she told us no. At this point, the manager was causing a scene with her rude, and completely unprofessional behavior. We got up and moved to a table for 4 and we had two separate servers come and apologize for their managers behavior. Clearly not leading by example of what customer service should look like for her staff. If she’d handled it differently, I wouldn’t be here but it was easily the most uncomfortable and awful management experience I’ve ever had. We had another table offer to buy us dessert because they felt so bad about what they witnessed. Everyone is entitled to a bad day but this woman was on a mission to be spiteful and icky. Bummer to lose a place that was a monthly spot for me, friends, and family."
