"Our family has consistently gone to Rice Fruit Farm and has consistently received bad service. The place is over run with teenage workers that have absolutely NO customer service skills. They very frequently get our orders wrong. Today, however, was the worst and has finally prompted me to leave this review. It is National Cone Day so as a treat, we decided to go after school. We arrived and there was no line whatsoever. We waited in front of the window and were seen by the two teenage girls in the ice cream store. They did not acknowledge us or bother to tell us, We'll be with you in just a minute As we wait for the girl to finish waiting on the customer inside, we notice another woman enter the building and go behind the woman currently being served. The girl finished the order and then went on to serve the new customer...I had to speak up and say, Excuse me, we were here first She debated a moment and then took our order. She did not say hello or apologize for overlooking us. Meanwhile, a line is forming and this one girl is working. The other teenage girl is laughing and talking to either another employee or a friend. The woman waiting left because it was taking too long. There were many other teenage workers working, but they were talking and filling up something with pumpkin. They should have STOPPED and waited on the customers. Completely disrespectful and rude. I went to speak to the manager but was informed that no one was there. Again, a teenager behind the counter with two additional young men goofing off by the grill...while...again...a line was forming behind me. Rice Farm you need to train your employees to do multiple jobs and make sure they pitch in when needed. Also, where is a supervisor? Teenagers should not be left alone without supervision or guidance. Our family will NOT be back and will be sure to spread the word."

"We 've been to this restaurant a couple of times previously, and we were always happy with the food and service. Unfortunately, tonight we did not have a good experience. I called several hours ahead of time to make a reservation for 4 people, and I requested a specific semi-circular table in the back on the left side. No problem! However, when the 4 of us arrived, there was already a party of 4 sitting at that table. We were taken to a different table, a smaller square table in the middle of the room. I told the waitress that I had reserved the semi-circular table, but she said they are already sitting there. When I noticed another, larger semi-circular table on the other side of the room that was empty, I asked if we could sit there. No, I was told. That table is for 6. OK, so we sat down at the smaller table where she insisted we sit. We ordered soup and our entrees, and the waitress asked if we wanted all of the food to be brought out at the same time. We said no, that we wanted the soup first and main courses afterwards. Our soup arrived at the same time, and was delicious. After we finished, two of our main courses were brought out together. We waited patiently for the other two people in our group to be served before starting to eat. After 10 minutes, our entrees were getting cold, and we asked what happened to the other 2 entrees. We were told that there was a mix-up, and that the other orders had just been placed. So the two of us who had food decided not to wait any longer, and we ate our food. The yellow curry with chicken was mediocre. Lots of sauce, very few thin slivers of chicken, and not many vegetables. Very unsatisfying. Needless to say, we were finished before the other 2 people in our party were served their main courses. The staff did not apologize or offer to give us a free dessert or to take something off the bill, which is what other restaurants have done when mix-ups have occurred. Oh, and by the way, the larger semi-circular table where they did not want us to sit remained empty for the entire time we were there."

"I attended a company party at this restaurant and I must say, the service was top-notch. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and even shared a few laughs with us. The atmosphere was decent, although a bit chilly until they lit the fire and there was some noise from outside. The appetizers we ordered arrived quickly and were hot and fresh. The Calamari was a standout, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, no rubbery texture here. We also tried the broccoli rabe with sausage and a cheese-stuffed risotto ball, both tasty but the calamari stole the show. For my main course, I had the surf and turf. The steak was cooked perfectly, tender, and seasoned well with a unique sauce. The green beans were cooked to perfection and the shrimp, although a bit tough, had a delicious stuffing. Dessert was a tiramisu that lacked the usual rich flavor but was decent overall. The drinks were good, especially the espresso martini. In conclusion, a positive experience that I would repeat, although if I were paying out of pocket, I would opt for just a steak or Italian dish instead of the surf and turf."

"Went with a large and admittedly rowdy crowd as I was chaperoning a youth group for church and got ice cream, and despite the unorganized nature of our group the staff stepped up and put on there absolute A game. I cannot thank them enough for the quality of both service and the food, yet again Krazy Jakes continues to impress. I highly recommend to anyone, and also ask that you please tip the excellent staff Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4"

"MANAGEMENT: I am disheartened to see such service during COVID. I have been a customer since just about this restaurant opened about 10 or so years ago. My family loves a good burger from you guys. The service I saw tonight was terrible. This should not be blamed on your staff, this is your fault. It doesn't look like your staff had enough training. In the service industry, hospitality always leads to better business success. Your staff needs to be put in a better position to show your intended good hospitality. (COVID is no excuse, no restaurant has lost quality to the degree yours has. Your restaurant’s hospitality is only as good as its employees. Invest in them please so this doesn't happen to other people. Specifically, -Tell your staff to be honest about the situation, specifically wait times. They have a tendency to underestimate wait times leading to miscommunication. -Teach them a chain of command, (e.g. if wait times get out of hand, call a manager to talk to customers and explain the situation -Have employees use the phone system to contact customers listed on online orders -Review your online order system (including order times, placing orders etc"

"Referred by friend. Bought a pint of whole belly clams and a half a pint of sea scallops. Scallops were very large and cooked to perfection. They were delicious. Though the order was whole belly, there were some strips in there but I must say they were very generous with the order. Maybe because I made it clear that it was my first order or maybe they just like to take care of their customers. Plenty of tartar sauce and napkins. The online menu made it very clear what they had to offer and what the prices were. The order taker was kind and attentive to my questions. She was aware of how long it would take me to pick it up so she took the time to make it so it was hot when I arrived. I suggest you definitely try it at least once and if you're getting whole belly clams ask him how much the market price is for them as they can become expensive. Also the onion rings made a perfect side dish."

"With friends to brunch. Nice to make your pwn **** Mary or Mimosas. Not too many egg options, many great options for sandwiches and other foods. Order came quickly everyone was friendly great atmosphere. They are close to other people, but no problem to enjoy a conversation at your table. The prices are good. Get there early it fills quickly to avoid waiting. I also believe you can make reservations. We're going back. They offer various specialties throughout the week."

"My review is based on online ordering and collection experience. I thought the food was fantastic. They were very fast to make the food. The room only lacks a bit of signage and pathfinding. It was hard to know where I was on my order as there was no obvious location, and the staff seemed to be all in the kitchen. The situation seems great to sit. "Just one of the best places I've eaten for years. Very allergic competent staff and are ready to tell you everything they do in everything they do, as well as where you buy it yourself! And they do everything that is very soothing (you just don't get it anymore! Beautiful interior, with bubbly baristas and a very friendly owner. You will often meet his family to say hello. I would really recommend going out your way of need to try this jewel at least once."

"I was so frustrated that I considered leaving. I understand that by 8:30 PM, the staff may want to head home, but as a waitress myself, I know that this kind of service would never be acceptable where I work. When I asked to speak with the manager, a waitress overheard my complaint and whispered about it instead of addressing my concerns properly. All I wanted was to enjoy a good meal in peace, but that didn’t happen. I've never been so unhappy that I wouldn't return. I used to be a regular at Michael's, but not anymore. An honest apology would have gone a long way, but instead, my waitress continued on while another tried to explain their cleaning process. At my job, we clean thoroughly after all customers have left, even after the kitchen closes. I am just so disappointed!"

"Fisherman apos;s Platter Fish and Chip Dinner the seafood on both were very good. The pieces that they used to give were a lot bigger. I was disappointed with the fries and the sweet potato fries not being cooked long enough. They were light in color and not crispy at all. The seafood is always fresh and delicious from there though."
