"I visited today and inquired whether they use a separate grill for their vegan items, similar to some other bodegas nearby that promote vegan options. I had a great experience with fast service and a delicious burrito at Plantega during my visit to New York. The prices are very reasonable too. It's truly an amazing place!

The restaurant doesn't have a separate grill for their vegan sandwiches, and the entire deli had a strong, unpleasant odor, reminiscent of spoiled meat. I wouldn't recommend it at all.

I visited today and inquired if they cooked their vegan items on a separate grill, which is a practice some other bodegas nearby follow. Unfortunately, I was informed that they do not; the Plantega products are grilled on the same grill as their meat items. The deli is quite small, and while I can understand their setup, I personally don’t feel comfortable eating anything cooked on a grill that also prepares meat, so I opted not to order. There is a Le Pain Quotidien and a Joe & The Juice nearby if you're looking for vegan options without the cross-contamination issue.
