"Oh my goodness where do I begin? My local friend made reservations in advance otherwise we would have had to wait a long time because the place was sold out! Incredible menu choices as well as daily specials too much to choose from. Service was fantastic and wow the swordfish and scallops extremely tasty! I felt like I was eating on top of a job 300 story building with the ultimate wood grilled menu! I will go back every time I visit Jackson!"

"Jackson is an up-and-coming food city. There have always been good eats here, and Pig Pint is an example of how the city's food scene is progressing. The set up of the restaurant reminds me of an Austin BBQ restaurant, but the taste is all Mississippi. All pork items are the exceptional choices here. You get good slow cooked meat that is not over glazed with gross, sticky BBQ sauce from a store. They also feature the best beers from New Orleans, Jackson and Memphis on tap."

"We went for a late lunch before heading to the airport. On a Sunday, so no crowds. Restaurant is located nearby University Hospitals and they have a Grocery store on the back of parking lot. Clearly they are short staffed (as most places, blame it on Covid). Despite that, service was extremely friendly, attentive and efficient. Those 2 ladies were flying all over the place. Food came fast. We ordered some options of 'combinations ', appetizer combo, kebab combo, etc so we were able to try lots of different tastes Every single thing was AMAAAAZING. Meats were fresh and tender. Seasoning was excellent. We were literally scratching the dishes with bread at the end, no hummus to be wasted! 'Great Food ' said our friend who is Iranian Kurdish. He knows how it should taste, I guess. LOL We ended with a variety of desert options and tea. As odd as it sounds, among baklava, birds nest, etc. try their homemade tiramisu. Homemade indulgence! It was a perfect way to end our trip to Jackson MS. Can 't wait to go back again!"

"I had the ?Stuffed Delta Catfish? which on paper sounds like delicious dish. But the execution of the actual meal was lackluster at best. The fried okra was really good, nice crispy fry and decent sized okra pieces. Mac and cheese was under-seasoned, it was cold on arrival so the cheese was congealed. The dinner roll itself was decent, especially with the honey butter that came on the side. Catfish itself was okay the batter could have been crispier, especially with a sauce on top that made the catfish batter soggy. The crabmeat filling that was inside was okay, could have been more seasoned. It also was all stacked in the middle, instead of evenly spread out through the catfish. The lemon dill sauce didn?t taste like anything, I had to squeeze fresh lemon on top to get any lemon flavor in my dish. The service was wonderful our server Marsha treated us so well and kindly. Overall the experience was okay, but for the price you pay it?s simply not worth it."

"I returned to Hal Mal's after several years and was pleased to find that it still has its relaxed and friendly vibe. The highlight of our visit was definitely the live music; the Dixieland band was impressive, opting for more contemporary tunes instead of the usual Stephen Foster standards. The food was up to its usual standard—fresh and flavorful gumbo, though the po' boys were just average, relying a bit on their reputation. The drink choices were satisfactory, and overall it was a laid-back and fairly affordable night out. There’s great value here, and it's a reliable choice. We'll be sure to return the next time we're in town."
