"Eating at 1:30P.M. on Thursday after Christmas we found the place to be 60% full. I would recommend a reservation as we did. I ordered the rainbow trout and my wife the shrimp/grit plate. The food was excellent and more so as we shared each others meal. The waitress was most helpful, cheerful, and my lower mark on service was not directed at her. We found the service to be slow, in our case a 30 minute wait and I noted the same for those around us. We also found it hard for them to justify just 4 medium sized shrimp on a $14 plate. Overall it was all good and we would recommend to friends. Note that close by parking is limited with a lot of parking farther back up the hill. They do have handicap parking by the restaurant. Enjoy!"

"They are doing everything just right.. Yes, the service was a little slow yesterday, as the owner kept her smile while prepping salads and desserts for five tables by herself, as her husband cooked all the entries by himself. This is a family operation. Their food is wonderful. I had a wheel of brie cheese that was sliced in half, stuffed with deli ham slices, and sauteed in a frying pan. What a decadent wow taste that was! The place was just excellent in every way. Everything about it exceeded expectations."

"Brought the family down to Helen for Christmas lights and shopping. The first 2 store owners I asked about food recommendations said “Bodensee!”, so we had to give it a shot. When we got there the line was out the door. Good sign number 1. Despite short staffing, which has become commonplace, the staff is very efficient in moving food and customers. I had the house sampler (I think it was called. 2 sausages and smoked pork chop with potato salad and sauerkraut. The wife had goulash and the shrimp scampi. All the food was amazing! Customer service was perfect. A few ladies on staff even gave my son a toy and some candy, which made his and our night. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great place to eat!"

"This was our second time visiting this restaurant and we were once again impressed by the amazing service. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and being able to bring our dog onto the patio. The food was absolutely delicious. The only thing that would make it even better is if there were more options for kids. Overall, we loved our experience and will definitely be coming back."

"Love this place. Absolutely is a 1 stop shop. We were there 2 of our three day weekend. Sat at the bar, tried a new beer..Thank you Paige We came for food for the Georgia game. My husband had asked about their rotisserie chicken cooking and if the sold them whole. We went and looked around some and went to have a beer. The nicest young lady came and found us and asked if we still wanted a chicken!! I mean you have to get the chicken then, when they find you holding a freshly cooked chicken!!!, And it was so good. We bought a couple of hats as well, and we got to pay for everything on our beer tab...YAY!!! Everyone is so nice and I cannot wait to go back. On my have to go places in Helen"
