"Small Town Family Style Eating I am very proud to be from Texas and a small town in Texas, I am not from Sweetwater but could have been. We have been eating at Allen's for the past few years. We are willing to detour from our route OR leave early to assure we get to stop for their home style food. If you crave some of the best fried chicken ever, more veggies than you have room for and more, at a great price, you need to make a stop. If you demand the fancy environment and expensive price, do everyone a favor and take a pass! We love Allen's Family Style Meals. We will be back."

Been eating at Ma Allen's for 50yrs...it was good then, and it's still good today...the price and quality and quantity can't be beat

Have been going to this place since 1972.The restaurant is clean and friendly.Best fried chicken anywhere.The food is wonderful.It is always a treat to get to go there when we are close.

Never ate at a place like this in my life and my waitress went out of her way to make us feel like family. She even told us some of the history of the place since my daughter was curious. The food was amazing. A little too good cuz I left feeling regret from eating so much. Also love that the price is great for kids cuz my younger ones filled up on rolls.
