Service was friendly, and the coffee was certainly good. I would give the cake a grade of B – not A. Other pastries IMHO proved to be a better choice: the almond croissant I especially liked. Next time, I’ll probably try the shop across the street.

This cafe wqs truly great, in all its aspects location, cleanliness, service, and most importantly, the food and drink, which were all unanimously voted as great by all of us. There are also many delicious Swiss cheeses and chocolates (and more! To buy. 2 min walk from the church

We have eaten at Baren many times with family and friends and have not been disappointed. The service is always friendly and the dishes are well prepared and tasty. It is usually quite busy which is a testament to its quality and also its location (close to the Abbey). The menu is seasonal with certain staples. The bakery at the front of the restaurant serves tasty pastries and breads. If you sit at the front of the restaurant you get a great view of the Abbey.
