"I've known the Mei Wirtshaus in Garching for 8 years, then it was still on the Kartbahn. I like the new location much better. Practical, but beautiful and comfortable furnishings and optically divided into niches. Partly for my taste somewhat too much cheesy decoration, but not disturb. From the old location we already know that Thomas can cook super. The first test: 1/2 duck with blue wort and dumplings. Duck before crispy, in juicy mega tasty. After our first visit we were there several times and tried on the map: Spareribs, Pig roasts, Steak, Backhendl, Veggie Teller, Schnitzel... The price is just right here. In summer, two years ago, we tested the Tatarenhut outside. Looks like a cast iron sombrero with holes and hooks fired at the bottom with coal. On the hook hang fresh meat, vegetables, fish etc. and after a spin enjoy the whole with sauces. There is also a baked potato with sour cream. On request you can order the whole as a buffet. The boss is from Bavaria, the head of Austria. For these two kitchens I can recommend the restaurant best. I always find positive if the menu is not too big, for example there are only 3 or 4 soups or desserts. They were also super delicious and fresh. In the new location we were a few times, among other things, to eat again in the Tatarenhut and otherwise everything the kitchen gives. I already had the Wiener Schnitzel, that was good, only the roast potatoes should have been a bit hotter and crispy. And the next time the carving is a bit thinner, but this is whining at a high level! If you like juice choir, you should try the Mirabellenschorle! By the way, every Wednesday there are the Hax'n and I tell you that was the best I've ever eaten! As a tip: Preorder better!! In summer there are standard Spareribs on the map. Otherwise only with pre-order of 6 persons. The Spareribs, in my opinion, are the best in the region of Munich, dissolve perfectly from the bone and very good taste. Even the homemade BBQ sauce is great. And to mention: Big beer garden. And on special days or on order Spanferkel! Parking in front of the house on the way no problem and only 10 minutes drive from us. For me personally, this is now the Austrian/Bayrian Northern Star!"
