"Family lunch on the vineyard, 10/10 recommend! We sat outside which was nice, the server we had was really nice but busy so she didn’t have time to meet and greet. We waited about 10 minutes once seated until she was able to come over to take our drink order, she also took our food order and we saw her again after everyone was done eating to give us our tab. The other servers were nice and refilled waters as they saw low glasses which was really nice of them. The tuna melt was great, I ordered it without tomatoes and bacon but with lettuce and onions so I enjoyed it. We also ordered the chowder which was pretty good, and the croutons surprisingly went well opposed to oysters. The watermelon...

the food here is always good the coffee has alot of options to choose from. the time it takes is a bit long but I don't mind it but if your in a rush go earlier. I also really like it here because they do donations of blankets and money for sheltered animalsFood: 4/5

Everything iconic best ever vineyard haven is encapsulated by The Black Dog: stunning harbour views, great service, four minute walk to the ferry to cap off your day on MV, fabulous food, wonderful cocktails and the merch is top notch quality! Been going here since I was a teen and now my teens love going, too.

This was my 2nd time visiting here and I enjoyed the food very much. The clam chowder was advertised as best on the island and I will say out of the clam chowders I had between cape cod and MV it was the best. Sample size is about 7.Last year I had the warm lobster roll and this year I had the cold lobster roll. I was impressed with both but still not sure which one I would prefer. I will admit both were worth it. It was $42 as of July 2023. They have a lot of good food on the menu besides the lobster roll so I highly recommend the place for overall menu.
