"Really enjoyed the whole experience here. Really lived up to all the other reviews we read. Very good, from scratch tasting Italian. I always get the good old fashoned spaghetti and meatballs when I first eat at a place like this as a test. The marinara sauce was excellent as were the meatballs and al dente pasta. The salad and dressing were great too. All around great place for dates and family dinners."

Great food, a very large group ahead of us made it a long wait for everyone else in the restaurant though. Overall, highly recommend.

We came here for my husband's birthday and had a great meal. I did not tell the wait staff that it was a special occasion, and they did not ask. Although I did put it on my on-line reservation, it wasn't brought up by our server. Not a problem, though. The food was excellent and service outstanding!

Outstanding food and service and a reasonable price. Was visiting from out of town (Minneapolis) and it's one of the favorite places of the people we were visiting. I now see why. Had the Bruscetta and Seafood Lasagna, both were very yummy (and the salad and bread were good too). I think I ate too much, but oh well...

"Update We returned and had a positive experience this time. Server was attentive and food/drinks were wonderful. I would definitely recommend this place, now know that the service and quality of food/drinks we get for the first time is not the “standard”. The atmosphere is beautiful. The service was good. We had to ask for our water several times and had long waited for our food (with a young child) although it was quite dead. The cheese curds, hamburgers and fries were wonderful. The chicken pliers were very fat and we couldn't eat most of them, as the bread and the chicken were healthy. I also ordered a mixed drink that was so strong that I couldn't even drink it. A decent place for a meal, but in any case some things they need to work on for the price you pay."

"Excessive expectations in so many ways. Pretty humble appearance is a facade. juicy, but authentic interior layout and decor. Wonderful menu and everything on it is wonderful. Stuffed meatballs, top notch veal, excellent antipasti and the service is like a small family restaurant. We were back several times and even take the children (although it is a smaller seating area and we might have taken our if a little young, but they were 100% accommodating! Top 3 Italian restaurant in the IC/CV/NL region safe!"

"dinner visit: no waiting time to sit. visit the breakfast: no waiting time to sit. this place was recommended by my friend as I visited for a chuteurnier near coralville. the place had a nice design, the eating was good, the waitress (the same person both paints) was simply the best waiting staff I ever had. on Friday night, I had lured her new salmon dinner with skyberry sauce. I have the word that they will soon think about adding it to the main menu. it was divine I highly recommend it. the spargel that the ship had was right to fill this part. the chocolate cake was also good. on Saturday morning I ordered the following articles: pancakes, real maple syrup, egg, sausage. the pancakes were very good, not too hard, not too soft. in both visits the proportions were greater than expected. cait has made a fantastic job. she was thrilled, helpful to ask about, her visit seemed exactly right, hit me on the beat as a soda refilled or checked as I did with the food. If they're ever in the opposite, they're going here!"

"We happened upon Rusciano’s on a windy, cold, and rainy night on a trip with our grandson. The restaurant is in a strip mall, and the interior is a bit bare and not cozy like many smaller Italian restaurants. The restaurant was perhaps 1/3 full, but the man who met us at the door offered a seat right next to the door, where it was windy and even a bit wet. Who knows why? We were all wearing masks when we entered the entirely maskless restaurant... He almost seemed reluctant to seat us elsewhere, but we got a table near the back. The menu is interesting and has many dishes that look authentic. Two of us had the basil pesto pasta and grandson had pasta with olive oil and parmigiano (his favorite). My wife and I, who routinely make our own pesto and who have tried it around the world, agreed that Rusciano's pesto with pasta was some of the best we have tried, and their bread was excellent! Grandson's pasta also got his nod of approval. My $9 glass of aglianico tasted as if it had been open for a few days; our cold fish waiter asked how everything was, and we complimented them on their pasta but I mentioned the poor-quality wine. He said nothing and walked away. Rusciano's advertises true Neapolitan pizza, and I had the chance to chat with the pizzaiolo, working by the wood-fired oven. He was born in Napoli, so he definitely knows pizza from Napoli. If the service had not been so mediocre, verging on poor, I would have given Rusciano's 5 stars. With pleasant, efficient, and caring table service, this would be a true gem. As it is, it offers perhaps the best Italian food in the region. We did not have the chance to try the pizza, to compare it with what we've had many times in Napoli, but we plan to do that on a return trip."

"Nice little place. Friendly staff and delicious food. If the place is full, the service is a little slow. They have a nice seating area outside the river. I wouldn't recommend for big groups over 6 unless you don't think about the confined room or sitting outside. The edamame was simple and cold, not hot as I prefer, but nothing that bothered me. Loved the Taiwanese Crispy Chicken: crispy, share a good part, and the veggies tasted great with this appetizer. Shushi roles we tried and enjoyed: Shrimp Tempura, Dragon and New York."
