"I studied in Bamberg 10 years ago and go back. Riffelmacher had the best ice cream in the city a decade ago and now has the best ice cream. (Not gelato, although I will say that it is excellent gelato in the city, in a place above all. Even the Italian exchange students thought the Gelato was excellent. We were there on Sunday afternoon. It was crowd, need to wait for seating. Not cheap to have just coffee and Ice-cream. If you like India feel you can try the Curry Banana Ice-cream.

Stopped here for croissants and a drink. Very friendly waitress, clean tables and a nice place to sit and people watch. Even the little bird that came to say hi liked a bit of our croissant. Try Bambergs special smoked beer called Schlenker la I loved it but it's not to everyone's taste.

Ein schönes Café in zentraler Lage mit außergewöhnlichen Eiskreationen und tollem Erdbeerkuchen mit Keksboden und Vanillecreme. Meine liebsten Eissorten: Chili-Trüffel und japanisches Reiseis. Das Interieur sehr ansprechend aber bei schönem Wetter gibt es nichts Schöneres als ein Tisch im Freien im bunten Treiben der Altstadt.
