"Whoa. The chicken sandwich I had was well worth the bike ride my boyfriend talked me into (haha! . We grabbed some citi bikes and headed to cheekys on a Sunday morning. He has nothing but great things to say about this place so I just had to try it. Wasn’t disappointed. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich that came on a savory biscuit and had gravy dripping over the sides. One word, delicious. I had a coffee which they use Cafe Dumont since the owner is from Louisiana. I also tried the ginger tea. Everything was so good! Some of the best sandwiches I have had. Fried shrimp is one of the best. Nicely hidden and chill. Great comfort food. So many options. Hard workers and top customer service.

Good taste, average portions, price seemed average for that neighborhood in NYC. Tried the shrimp sandwich, which seemed like it was prepared to order. Lots of flavour, think mostly from the sauces used. Wouldn't mind trying the other sandwiches if in the area.

A New Orleans style sandwich in NYC! I had the fried chicken which was nestled into a buttermilk biscuit with gravy inside and purple slaw! The guy also snuck a free mini beignet in my bag! Yay! I can’t wait to try some of their other ones next time I’m in the LES. That whole area overwhelms me with so many food options, but this one is worth a try. Yum!
