"This is my third time in this restaurant. I was here for a work dinner. We sat immediately and the server came back within minutes to get our drinks orders. She sat one of the drinks in front of the wrong person and when they realized and told her, she was very sweet about replacing the drinks. She didn't screw up food orders and put out soups and salads before food orders and allowed us enough time to eat appetizers. The Fajitas came out last, but was hugely hot and she was sure to say carefully. The shrimp fajita was really good and it was a large part, enough for leftovers. It was delicious and everything I had so far was delicious. I forgot to mention the cream of the crab soup was amaz...

This place was a pleasant surprise! Super clean! The staff was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed food! Definitely recommend!

Excellent food in a pleasant atmosphere. The lunch menu has something for everyone and the duck includes soup or a trip to the salad bar. The food is good and the service was great. Joan our waitress awaited us with enthusiasm. The ambience is a meeting point and a local favorite.

If I could, I'd set 4.5 stars. Land Omlette was great with homefries and wheat bread. Something too much butter, but not a big deal. Waiting time for the meal was not too bad at 11:00. We also have a combo meal of waffles, eggs, hot Italian sausage and loaded house cups. Everyone was pretty tasty.

"We had our date night here and really enjoyed the atmosphere and our meal. We shared a few appetizers and both had the steak as our entrees. My steak was cooked a tad more well than I had ordered, although it was still tender and had a great flavor. The eggplant was a favorite for us both, that itself could be made into a main dish. "Got the Southern Maryland Crab Melt with Swiss and Tomatoes on a Croissant. Crab was rich and well seasoned, the buttery croissant perfectly complemented the creamy crab patty. "The food was dependably quality, though bland at times. After being treated to having to listen to a contemptuous diatribe about having to give her employees sick leave and how they'd use it to scam her by the owner while waiting to be seated, we just never went back again. Anyone who treats their employees with such contempt didn't deserve the business."

"We visited Backfin Blues De Graw for Sunday brunch. We placed a reservation for 1pm at about noon just in case but there was not a wait to be seated for our party of four. This is what we ordered. There was an order of the crab omelet with sweet potato tots and an english muffin. The omelet was cooked well with a decent amount of crab in almost every bite. The tots were crispy and the english muffin came toasted well and pre-buttered. This was accompanied by an apple cider mimosa which tasted more or less just like apple cider. Another order was for the creole omelet with a side of cheesy grits and corn muffins. Additionally, an appetizer with the creole crab cakes was ordered. Everything tasted great. The third order was creole french toast with a side of bacon. The fourth order was also creole french toast. This order was asked to have a side of meat splitting bacon and andouille sausage. I specifically and explicitly asked if this could be done. I wanted to split one side order, not order two sides (more on this later). Oddly, the two sides of bacon were brought out on the same dish and we were basically told we can separate them ourselves. The french toast was extremely interesting. It came out like a donut or beignet deep fried with a crunchy and flaky outershell. The service is when things started to take a dip. We were informed that there was a large party on the other side of restaurant so things might be a little slow. The space between in the center part of the restaurant was basically empty. So when our waiter all but disappeared after delivering the food to the point of us having to ask another if his shift ended, we were surprised at how long it took to check out and leave. Because of this long wait, I didn’t bother explaining that we were charged double for the side meat order. They charged twice and the base price of meat sides was $4 when the menu said $3. Because it was ultimately under $10 in question, I just let it go since we had been sitting for too long at that point. Let down after an otherwise good tasting brunch."

"Absolutely phenomenal. When I moved here from Philly I was so dissatisfied with the pizza selection in this part of Maryland. I can say with full confidence you would be hard pressed to find pizza this good in Philly. Maybe Angelos. The owners recipe comes from the old country.
