"Surprising. On the way back to Indy from Columbus we tried a place outside of the mall in Richmond that we had not noticed before. My husband and I were totally surprised with the interior, the menu, and the service. After having been exiled to Indiana (aka the western front) from Pennsylvania about thirty years ago, I had resigned myself to horrible, Midwest tasteless food unless I headed for Chicago. The ambience and menu were quite good, service was good, and flexibility for altering menu choices was more than acceptable much better than what I have experienced in a lot of Indy restaurants. I have no clue where the place is finding the clientele to appreciate this venue in Richmond, but it seems to be doing fine. I would actually consider timing my trips to work a lunch or dinner in for the the future. I was more than pleased."

"Stopped in on our way driving thru. Definitely felt like I had stepped back to the 80s. Menu is huge (probably too big). My wife had the salmon and I had the filet au poivre. The salmon was good, but not exceptional. My steak was very good, but the au poivre sauce was probably from a can (or a Knorr brand sauce packet) and was very gelatinous (not authentic or very good). The steak on its own was very good. The sides were also old school and not memorable. I would stop again for a steak, but leave off any sauces."

"Coming to visit a town we were fortunate to find this Barbeque restaurant opened by former firefighters. The history and unique ambience was spectacular. The opportunity to listen to live bands in the outdoor eating area during the summer is enjoyable. Our waitress Trish was friendly and responsive. I wanted a microbrew IPA beer but I was not sure which one I wanted, so Trish brought me three samples. Wow. Then I wanted an appetizer but I told our waitress Trish that I didn't want fried jalepino peppers. The waitress told me they backed. The poppers were just spicy enough but not too much. Then we had the pulled pork which was tender and moist and the Brunswick Stew which had sausage, pork, chicken and ham. Amazing. I then wanted a stout beer and once again our waitress surprised us with three samples. Truly amazing service. The decorations, music history of the area and tribute to the firefighters in a preserved firehouse was truly unique. If you are looking for a unique BBQ restaurant with superior service, delicious food and reasonably prices, this is the place you can't miss."

"Terrible service. Played 6 songs on the Jukebox, and after the 1. Song had a customer who watched the college football, let the juke box shut off and they didn't give me our money back!!! I have no RECOMMENDS!!!"

"We have the seat for a party of 6 and it worked super. Saturday night was very busy. Our waitress Hales(name on our receipt)was amazing! Thank you for being our server! She was very friendly and very fast and attentive to our needs and wishes. The place was clean and comfortable. Everyone enjoyed their food! To be honest, the whole staff was friendly, friendly and helpful during the walk through the restaurant. The manager should be very proud of her team! It's done. Other restaurants should take notes! Thank you for our dinner and evening ingenious!"
