"The food is fine. The service is indifferent, at best. The last time my husband and I went there, I accidentally left an expensive sweater hanging on the back of my chair. I realized it when we were about a mile down the road heading home, so I immediately turned around and went back to get it. I stopped at the curb (I was driving) and sent my husband in to get it. He came back and said that the staff hadn 't found any missing sweater after we left. I didn 't think that was possible in the five minutes it had taken us to drive back, so I parked the car and went in to look myself. Sure enough, there was my sweater on the last table, closest to the kitchen, which the wait staff seems to use as a work/paperwork area. I grabbed it off the table and showed it to the staff and they were like, Wow! How did that get there? Needless to say, we walked out and are unlikely to return."

"Halal Guys is a franchise that serves food that is allowed under Islamic law, similar to Kosher. If you visit this simple dine-in or take-out establishment, you are in for a treat. The food is always well-prepared, with delicious flavors and generous portions. It is one of my go-to comfort foods when I don't feel like cooking. I recommend trying it if you have never had Arabic cuisine before. Additionally, the staff at the location I visit in Fairfax, VA are fantastic and can help you navigate the various protein options on the menu."

"I visited this restaurant because they stay open late. Unfortunately, the calamari was burnt and we couldn't eat it, which was very disappointing. The coconut shrimp was decent, and the takoyaki with red sauce was good. This was my second visit here, but I won't be returning. I do not recommend this place. Despite the food issues, we didn't complain because it was late at night and the waitress was pleasant."

"The writer has been a loyal customer of Samurai, but was not always satisfied with the dingy locations in Alexandria's Duke Street and Eisenhower. However, they found the newer location to be much more to their liking. They enjoyed the hibachi and plan to make it their new go-to spot."
