"Lake City, CO is a wonderful, historically significant town in the San Juan Mountains . It is also the most remote town in the contiguous 48 states. It really is like stepping back in history 100+ years ago with some added modern amenities. That being said, I can fully appreciate that its remoteness not only creates a great, laid back environment, free from the rush of urban life, but it also very probably creates a significant increase in the price of everything from gasoline to the food which is delivered from so far away. "This restaurant is conveniently located within walking distance of our hotel, so we decided to stop by after having dinner at Jessica's Bistro. We chose to sit at the bar and enjoy some drinks. I ordered two large red sangrias since they were only $1 more, while my partner had two 12-ounce beers during Happy Hour and another one before we headed back to our hotel, the FairField Inn. Our bartender, Joey, was professional and courteous. I also appreciated how easy it was to settle the bill, as they use a handheld device for credit and debit card transactions that can be brought right to your seat, eliminating the need for the bartender or server to return to the cash register."

"Some of the best and freshest food I have eaten. The soups were so flavorful and not salty at all. The salad with the ginger dressing was a wonderful light light salad to have on the stomach. The vegetables were nice and fresh, had a wonderful crunch to them. The white rice was nice, fluffy, and soft. While the fried rice had a wonderful pepper flavor and soft as well. The bourbon chicken and general tso was nice and savory, while the shrimp wasn't over cooked and done perfectly. Overall everything was perfect and refreshing."

"Random road trip stop that turned out amazing. Way cheaper than Starbucks and better and faster. They made my iced latte exactly how I like it and the coffee is good quality. ?"

"This cute, locally owned spot offers delicious home cooking just a short drive off I-10. They have plenty of parking, some outdoor tables, and indoor dining available. The menu features simple and generous portions at very reasonable prices. The service is quick and friendly, and the food is delicious. I enjoyed a tasty hamburger steak with gravy and spaghetti with fried green tomatoes. They even cooked a plain hamburger for our toy poodle, Jolie Fleur, which was enough for three meals for her. Although they had tempting cakes and pies, we were too full to indulge. I've learned that you never know what hidden gems you may find by venturing a little further down the road, and always remember to get takeout for dessert!"
