"I've only been here a couple of times, but both times, the men behind the counter were quite friendly and I didn't feel rushed when choosing my dozen donuts. The prices are very good and the donuts themselves are even better (if you are used to franchise donuts you're in for a treat). I often go by there when shopping across the street and there are usually since locals there, eating, reading the paper, and chilling."

Stopped by every morning during our trip for our coffee and donut/pastry. The guys there are great and super funny. Best coffee in the neighborhood.

This place is much better than you would expect from the old shield. Very quick and friendly service, and quick short order cooking grill. Nice and fresh and delicious. Good value.
