"What a great place for breakfast in Homer! Super cute. Super easy to find. And super friendly service. We had about a 10 minute wait which gave us time to look over the menu and some of the history on the walls. Once we were seated at a table our server quickly came over with waters and asked if we wanted anything else to drink. A previous review said it's self service for water we did not experience that. I had an OJ and my husband at tea. The OJ comes in a massive glass, not the standard water cup size. For breakfast I had the burrito which was super good! I was a little hesitant when it said chipotle tortilla I wasn't sure what that entailed. I'm still not really sure, but I can say the...

No table service. Get your own drinks . Food passable. Not how I want to eat when going to restaurant. They still expect tips when only service provided is bring food to table. Prices same as full service competitors.

One of my favorite things to do while traveling is dining at local breakfast joints, not necessarily always the places spoken and written about the most. I walked by this place a few times and the aroma was definitely drawing me in. The parking lot was always pretty packed too. Yet, the overall Yelp rating was a cause for pause. I am so happy that I followed my instincts or my gut in this case , as it was a terrific experience atmosphere, food, service and prices were all top notch. I had the biscuits and gravy with reindeer sausage and eggs. Having lived in the south for about the last 25 years, I have become really fond of biscuits and gravy and this is one of the best I 've ever had. The...

"The Bagel Shop is a MUST visit if you 're in Homer. It has been posited that you can 't get good New York Style bagels here in Alaska. Sorry, i disagree. The Bagel Shop is an unassuming, deceptively urbane looking storefront, in an industrial area of town, it 's certainly not on the main drag of Homer, but that does not affect how busy it gets. Inside the entryway, you 'll order your bagel, from the chalkboard with the choices of what 's available. There are cold drinks in a chiller, if you desire, or get coffee or tea if that 's your preference. The menu is quite extensive, from what looks to be such a tiny eatery, but don 't be fooled tables are around the back. You can get bagels, soups, salads, a variety of drinks. My first few times here, we were always getting bagels for on the road, and i didn 't even know you could eat inside. I always got the Everything Bagel with the Holy Trinity Schmear (jalapeño, garlic, anchovy, blended masterfully with cream cheese and it is superb, i tell you that right now. If you love garlic, you 'll love this schmear. Anyway, so last time we were in Homer, we decided to eat inside, and i thought I 'd try the Avocado Toast and have a nice cuppa tea (I 'm British ok, don 't roll your eyes at me like that! So i got an Everything Bagel, with the avocado topping. He ordered the usual I think he got an onion bagel with Holy Trinity schmear. I was presented with such an artistic looking bagel. And i will stand here right now, and claim that 100% they cook THE best fried egg in ALaska, because they don 't flip it like an over easy egg, so it 's not brown on top. They either do what british people do, and flip hot grease over the top of the he egg, so the whole thing stays white, and the top of the yolk has an opaque white skin, OR they put a cover over the egg, and the steam cooks it. Either way, it cooks a perfect fried egg, because sunny side up I 've had way too many snotty, sunny side up eggs to ever trust ordering one. Ad i get an over easy egg, because i just can 't get an English style fried egg here in ALaska, except for now. THIS IS THE PERFECT FRIED EGG RIGHT HERE. The yolk is a perfectly runny sauce to drape unctuously over your bagel, the avocados are bright green and fresh. There 's a seasoning on top of this egg that elevates it to magical heights. It 's got sesame seeds in, and something green. No idea but let me take some home please? Micro greens on top and it 's just delightful. And 2 days ago, it wasn 't on the menu, my heart sank! So i asked her. She said oh sure, i can make that for you! Would you like bacon? Would i like bacon? Indeed i would like more deliciousness added onto an already stupendous meal. And it was AMAZING. It 's now my go to, as I 'm a creature of habit, as much as it 's possible to have a go to, in a place you only go to, once or twice a year. Superb. The best! And ALWAYS service with multiple smiles. As someone said to me about the Bagel Shop, if you live in Anchorage, The Bagel Shop is well worth a *turn and burn* and i wholeheartedly agree."

"Visited Wasabi on a Thursday at about 5pm, they now require reservations so be sure to call already! Anyway, we were unaware of the new changes so we walked in but they were able to seat us which was amazing. They have spaced out all of the tables and have limited the capacity. All servers are wearing masks and I think I saw some with gloves. We came wanting sushi so we were happy to be able to eat inside. They also have a patio that has an amazing view of the mountains. Anyway, we ordered the Duck Pizza and the Alaska roll. We had our waters filled right away but the next time took a out 30 minutes even after we had drained our cups about 5 minutes after receiving it but it wasn't a deal breaker. But, the service was definitely slow. I could tell a lot of to-go or delivery orders were taking place but because my brother and I had nowhere else to be, it wasn't a big deal. Our pizza arrived after 30-40 minutes, piping hot and out of the oven. DO NOT SKIP THIS PIZZA. IT'S A WORK OF ART. This could easily fill one person, or two if you aren't that hungry. But this is hands down without a doubt the best pizza I've ever had. Read the menu for the full details but it has fig reduction, havarti and gryuere cheese, roasted garlic and onions, the duck bacon and more. If nothing else, just get it to take a picture with. Our sushi in total was probably an hour after we ordered but there was only one sushi chef working at the time and will all of the to-go orders including many many sushi rolls, he was extremely busy. Once the roll was done he even ran it over to our table. Sir, if you're reading this, your sushi is art and I am so glad to have tried it. Thank you for working so hard. Anyway, the roll was filled with crab and had salmon so fresh it was practically swimming. These rolls were a little bigger than what I'm used to, but still good! Absolutely visit this place (and go easy on the sushi chef when he's busy)."
