"After visiting the Landesgartenschau we wanted to eat in the evening in Nagold. After we went through the afternoon, we drove back to Althengstett with our friends and let us talk to local Portuguese with fish dishes. The restaurant is located on the transit road in Althengstett Ottenbronn and is housed in an older, jewelleryless house. Parking has arrived in front of the house and inside, he waits a German country with Portuguese Kitschdeko: as much confusion as he hangs, one rarely finds it, it was placed on the wall that was just present: car wheel, holder, Portuguese wall plate, landscape images and clapers hang between the dark wooden beams, between the shared guest rooms fish swimming around their lives in aquariums. The welcome by the host is cool and removed, and then it will be some kindness later. It brings the menu, guided by fish dishes such as grilled sardines with salad of 10.50 euros, grilled sea fish of 10.50 to 25 euros, grilled large crabs with a toast of 25 euros, meals with poultry, pig or beef. On the front comes cut bread, mayonnaise and black olives. According to the innkeeper, half of the bread was freshly cut, the other half was long. We share with four two grilled 15 euros and two fried fish plates 14 euros. The grilled fish plate was served with garden, undamaged and oiled potatoes, the other fish plate with a bowl ride. Everyone gets a bowl with side salad, usually the greenest flavorless leaf salad. The complete food did not testify to cooking, although the fish was fresh. The most tasty fish and potatoes were served, almost everything was dry and too long cooked. The rice remained. I didn't know rice could be as dry as dust and how to get down when there's no sauce? We drank 3 liters of open fresh Portuguese wine, the liter 10.50 euros. Our friends tasted it, it's their regular pub. I'm sure they're coming back like many others. Today only three tables were occupied, on weekends we recommend a reservation to our friends."

"Wouldn't be nicely treated other guests were preferred to eat arrived time-settled. The kids got the food last. And when we ordered to pick up, prices didn't match what was online. Food itself is very tasty"

"Wir waren als Paar spontan hier essen. Der Service war sehr freundlich und flink. Wir haben abends draußen in der Sonne zur Parkplatzseite gesessen. Man kann auch super schön an der Flusseite sitzen.Die Getränke wurden schnell gebracht. Ich habe mir eine Haxe bestellt und dieser war super lecker!!! Mir war aber zu wenig Soße dabei, sodass ich mir zusätzlich welche dazu bestellt hatte. Später haben wir uns reingesetzt. Auch dort kann man toll sitzen.Wir kommen gerne wieder um weitere Speisen zu probieren!Weiter so :)Hat uns gut gefallen."

"Villa Wagner is ideally placed on one of the many shopping and promenading streets in this busy local administrative centre ( cars from the surrounding areas register here and carry the prefix CW on their number plates).Set a little above pavement level there is a large front terrace-garden set with tables and seating under Trees, Parasols and awnings, there is even a small decorative pool with a raised edge, should on wish to perch at its sde in the shade.This is a Steakhouse - Cafe and patrons were to be seen enjoying their food, the portions were genereous.The wines are representative of the area and emminently quaffable, being soft and smooth as is to be expected from Baden-Wurtemberg.A pleasant spot and certainly a place to meet, to relax and to watch the world.We visited mid-day Friday 2nd September."

"The owner of the hotel we stayed in referred us to this restaurant, and indeed, it was worthwhile: friendly staff, great food and wine, and the veggie-burger made of zucchini was really to die for!!! The frendly waiter was helpfull in offering the wine choises...(my husband took red wine, which he never likes, but this wine he said tasted great, and so it was). Some will like the fact that light is scarse, but even our party existed of only both of us, I found it really dark inside. The next day we went back to have a desert (as I was too stuffed for such the evening before) at its outdoor seating, but sadly the restaurant was then closed. As we traveled on the next day I must do so in future. Really recommended this restaurant."
