"We went to Epiphany on a Friday night, reservation. We were going to Lincoln Hall later in the evening for a show, so we figured we had plenty of time to eat and drink. While we were seated promptly, received drinks, and got our appetizer all within minutes, we then waited a truly excessive amount of time for our mains, which arrived shortly before The dishes themselves gumbo, jambalaya, and shrimp pasta were all tasty. To her credit, the server was abashed, and even offered to buy us dessert to make up for the delay. While I was excited to try a new NOLAstyle restaurant, I was not blown away by Epiphany's... anything. The food was good, but overpriced, the wine list was small, the signature cocktails were sugary and spendy, there was no beer list, and the portions, although fair sized, were not worth the cost. We also were only one of two groups there one other group of people and we had to wait almost until our meal was finished for a side we ordered with the meal only to get it and find it was a side the size of a saucer plate and the cornbread was burnt.
